Great machine. Great customer service. Economical.
I purchased this machine as my first serger. I've used them before, but never owned one. This is a great little machine! I've already put about 100 hours on it, and haven't had any problems at all. I DO do the maintenance on it like dusting it out and lubricating. It's manual listed some additional feet, so I contacted the Siruba office in South Florida, and was able to purchase the additional feet for under $20 us. This machine comes with good instructions, and a set of tools for maintenance. It came well packaged. Shipping was quick.

Pretty good product, worker, not many bells or whistles
By far the strengths of the serger include the speed (1300 spm) and the strength. It will sew all types of material, thick, delicate and several layers. This serger reminds me of a industrial machine but in a domestic frame. Threading can be a problem if you allow the thread to break and have to thread it from scratch. If it is set up properly it sews consistently and beautifully. As with most machines like this one, the manual leaves a lot to be desired. If you have used a serger before it won't be intimidating. For the beginner it requires patience because the manual will not help a lot.

Not a good unit compaired to others.
This Machine sewed ok for about an hour, after that it got out of time and never worked again. I spent hours messing with this machine to try to make it work. It is a poor design the gets out of time and adjustment easily. The manual lacks essential adjustment and troubleshooting information and is poorly written. The unit is quite dificult to thread compaired to other brands. I had no luck on their website to find adjustment information and there is very little information available elswere on the web. Spend a few extra bucks and get a more reputable brand like brother which has a huge amount of technicle information available as well as a technical support service.

Great for hobbyist or short term professional use
In 2013 I needed an overlock for cheap. This machine ran with no issues for about a year and 6 months after being used for a few hours a day, 3 times per week. I kept my machine clean, oiled and replaced my needles regularly. After 1.5 years of use I began having repeated issues with the tension. The first needle (red) no longer sewed properly and would skip stitches or be super loose and I could only do 3 thread stitches instead of 4, then the second needle (yellow) stated to go. Because this machine costs less than $200, getting it assessed and repaired would run a good percentage of it's worth so I wound up buying a more heavy duty machine. If you sew as a hobby or are a beginner this is a good machine for you, if you sew professionally and need a portable overlock machine keep shopping.

Fine finishing stitches
This machine is used by my wife for her clothing on request, with other similar machines that she never had been used as perfect finish and high quality like this Siruba. If what you need is a machine that your seams a fine finish and high fashion, this is the machine, without having to invest much money as in industry. No I have nothing more to say, the quality exceeded my expectations.

Love my overlock machine
I have contemplated buying a overlock machine for many years. Well, I finally made my decision and purchased the Siruba HSO-747D and couldn't be happier. The price is great and the machine works like a charm. It took me a while to thread it. The instructions were difficult to understand at first, but I got it. Love my new machine and highly recommend purchasing this machine.

Wonderful little machine
Wonderful little machine. Surprisingly easy to thread, worked flawlessly. Directions are clear and easy to follow - if anyone has a problem with this serger, it's more than likely user error. Highly recommend!
