This is the perfect solution for those vents which have flappers on them that continuously break because they are plastic. These insert well with the holes available and the wire mesh is small enough to allow good airflow, but keeps out birds, bees, and rodents.. I wish I had found these sooner.

The very thin mesh can be slightly pushed in or out, creating a touch of a concave or convex effect… it’s not completely flat.

I liked that they were a perfect fit. Decent quality. Easy bend tabs. They have held up well so far. Just what I needed.

These are absolute garbage. I had to order 16 to get two in which the screen was without large tears and holes, or massive dents. Don't waste your time.

I gave this item 3 stars as much due to shipping method as actual product construction. These worked for my application OK but just be aware that they are somewhat fragile and can't stand up to amazon's packing choice when sent through the USPS. I ordered 2 four packs even though I only needed six vents and it's a good thing I did. The vents were loosely packed, 4 each, in a poly bag with the tabs sticking up. Amazon sent them in a lightly padded manila envelope and, as if to insure additional shipping mayhem, threw in a heavy metal busbar I had ordered into the mix. Needless to say almost every vent had some form of damage. Not wanting to mess around with sending them back I was able to make the six I needed serviceable. One of the remaining two vents was toast and the other a bit too rugged to use. While they worked for my use, beware that they are light duty and consider ordering extra.

Three of the four items are damaged. Suggest not shipping with prongs extended. Flat would protect the screen. Shipped in a box not a plastic envelope would add to manufacturing costs. So ship flat. Good construction, with good screen.
