The North Face Women's Arctic Parka

This coat is really warm and waterproof , it fits well. I ordered a size 8 and can get a jumper underneath easily. It was well Packaged and arrived in excellent condition with tags. I have purchased North Face coats in the past and they last for many years, I have two that are 10 years old and still look like new. Well worth paying the extra for a good quality coat.

I needed a waterproof, very warm and long jacket for the winter changeable weather in Ireland. This jacket is just perfect. Fully waterproof, tested in Irish rain. Very warm, sometimes even too warm. Feels like you have a nice blanket wrapped around you all the time. It fits perfectly according to the measuring table provided. It's not a very elegant jacket by design, but the fact that it has some pull on the waist helps to make it a bit more feminine. Totally recommended.

I got this to help through the 3 or so days of actual winter in London, and to have something to wear when visiting family in Northern Europe. I can say that this coat is warm enough for -20C! I wore it in London when temperatures were nearing zero. Somehow it didn't feel too hot. The only annoyance was that after unpacking it, I got tiny feathers stuck on my clothes the first few wears. Maybe go through it with one of those sticky rollers before wearing to avoid this. Nice fit too. I'm 5ft 7in, medium built and it hits mid-thigh. The fit is flattering and non-bulky.

I was looking for a longer length stylish parka jacket to wear on the 10 minute walk dropping my kids off at school that was both insulated and fully waterproof and this fits the bill. Most jackets are insulated OR waterproof – not both, too short or too long in length – or just do not look good. I’m 5’8” and 11st and a size 12 top 14 bottom and I got the medium. The large on me was far too big. With a standard jumper underneath, it sits nicely around my waist and falls to just above my knee. My first comment is about the style. Most of the other parka jackets I was considering have two large square front pockets. I didn’t want this look – I wanted something more sleek and this jacket has two zipped pockets in the side seams. It’s definitely a sophisticated rather than a utilitarian look. There is also an additional small pocket inside. If you a looking for a hillwalking jacket and need large pockets for maps/compasses etc, this may not suit your requirements. It’s fairly slim for an insulated jacket and doesn’t look like you are wearing a duvet! It’s warm and cosy. None of the feathers have escaped so far. The faux fur around the hood is very soft – not at all itchy like others I have tried. Two small quibbles. The sleeves are just a tiny bit short. If you forgot your gloves one day it would be difficult to hide your hands inside the end of the sleeves. I also think the hood is a tiny bit small. Other hoods I tried on came right over my forehead. This just frames your face so depending how you tighten it (there is a toggle adjuster) you might need something to cover your ears on really cold/windy days. It was a great price from Amazon with a third of the RRP and arrived earlier than expected. North Face is a reputable brand and I look forward to it lasting many years. An investment piece.

I love it. fantastic fit. Really warm and dry. 10 out of 10 for quality. Please note this is the new Parka II not the older version. Great price too.

Fantastic quality coat, sadly I had to return as it was too small, I would advise to size up when ordering as it does run a little small, I’m a size 10 and the S was just too snug on me

This coat is amazing along with the price from this seller. Dog walking I am no longer done up like a Michelin Man this coat over my long sleeve t shirt and a vest top and I was cozy and warm. No more freezing in the school playground waiting for grandkids, this coat is perfect

This coat is absolutely worth the money, the picture does not do it justice though!!! I do not normally write reviews, but this coat really is amazing, it’s not a heavy coat but keeps you so warm. I live right by the coast so can be extremely wet and windy, but is completely weatherproof as stated.

After a mix up with our initial purchase (Ordered an XL, received a L), the XL arrived and the Wife is extremely happy with it. Nice insulation and color goes with anything. She's ready to brave any polar climate.

I did a LOT of research and compared pretty much every women's parka under $600 before I bought this one. Save yourself some time and get this parka! PROS: *Waterproof *Windproof *Super warm (I live in Minnesota) *Flattering, fitted style (hard to find in a parka) *Double zipper - allows you to zip all the way up and then unzip the bottom a few inches for movement/flexibility (great for winter sports) CONS: *Not enough pockets - only two on the outside (My old North Face parka had 4 on the outside and I used them all regularly) *No North Face logo on the outside (if that's important to you) *Sizing - I tried this parka on in-store at The North Face and the staff told me this style runs SMALL. (I'm 5'5", 120 lbs, 34C chest and I couldn't even get the size Small to zip while wearing a sweater. Size Medium is perfect for me, but they didn't have my size or preferred color in stock so I ordered here instead.) I've worn this parka for a few days now and I love it. Overall, I like it better than my old TNF parka, even though it's lacking the extra pockets. My top priority was superior warmth. It's a huge bonus that this parka makes me look like a "human person" instead of a walking sleeping bag, as another reviewer said!

I purchased this parka because I needed a heavy duty coat for those winter days walking around campus. I was very pleased to find that the quality of the coat was great and it was very warm. I like how the coat is long enough to cover your thighs, it zips and buttons all the way down, it is water proof, and the hood covers your head and keeps it warm. The sizing does run a little small so I would recommend going a size up, however, the fit is very flattering if you get the size right. Definitely would recommend this to anyone who needs some extra warmth this season.

I’ve only worn this coat once but I LOVE IT! I initially ordered the black coat which I liked but I have 2 dogs and one is as husky and the hair just immediately cling to the black coat so sadly I had to return it. So I ordered the green coat and I love the color and no Dog hair shows!! I live the deep pockets nice and cozy, I love that it’s waterproof huge plus! The zipper is great it’s plastic but my other Eddie Bauer coat has a plastic zipper and it works great! Other reviews said the good was too small I think it’s perfect the roomy hoods to me just blow off in the wind. I ordered a large which I always do and it’s plenty roomy for an extra layer if need be! I can’t find one issue with this coat, it’s perfect!

El abrigo es tal cual se ve en la imagen. Es comodísimo y abriga un montón si hacerte sudar dentro. Creo que aisla del exterior totalmente, por lo que preserva la temperatura del cuerpo sin generar un calor agobiante. Se puede salir a la calle llevando debajo ropa de verano y no se pasa frío (lo he probado en temperaturas entre 5 y 12ºC. Cierra miy bien el cuello, diría que no hace falta llevar bufanda. Corta el viento y es impermeable. Lo he llevado en lluvia con total éxito. El corte es muy bueno y aunque tiene volumen el foro, no te desdibuja la silueta femenina. Lo llevo con tacón y bolso y queda hasta elegante. Si le tengo que poner un pero es el corte de la capucha q es un poco estrucho y si tienes mucha melena, te aplasta el pelo. Además por dentro sale alguna que otra plumita pequeña cada tanto. Sobre todo si llevas ropa negra, se nota que te deja mini plumas pegadas.
