Dad is a big fan of chess and likes his little boy to join him. He bought a mini set of chess to play with. I really don't like it, for a little kid, which is way too small to grab. To be a surprise, I got this wooden set. It is not heavy, right for carrying around and looks classy and durable. At this price, it includes another two game bonuses. What a bargain.

This looks and feels like it should cost about 5-$10At that price it would be worth it.Well I am just learning chess so didn't want to spend a lot anyway in case I turn out to be lousy, but I wish I had bought a set for a few more bucks.

We bought this set for our 11-yr-old for Christmas. He loves it! We especially like the magnetic chess pieces. Wish the checkers/backgammon pieces were also magnetic. The board is very attractive and works as expected otherwise. It appears as if it will hold up well.

This feels like a high quality chess set at this price. It also comes with the checkers which gives extra game and fun. My kids started with the checkers and love it.

These were inexpensive but the pieces are very small and there are only 2 dice.

The wood pieces and the dice are very cheaply made. And the dice is VERY small.

Professionally made and quite a handsome set you will be proud to show off.

The chess board is nice and sturdy. The pieces are also sturdy. It is portable and can be carried in a bag. The board can be used to play anywhere.
