Gatorade Whey Protein Bars, Mint Chocolate Crunch, 2.8 oz bars (Pack of 12, 20g of protein per bar)

These taste really good and usually kept me feeling full for about 3 hours. If you're looking for something zero carb though, these dont fit the bill. They do have carbs, but far fewer than what I eat if I dont plan ahead.

I feel like I've tried every healthy and even semi-healthy bar on the market. I've even had to send some bars back because they tasted like wet cardboard or wood-paste. Seriously! I won't name names. But of all the bars I've tried, the ones I keep buying and keep buying are the Gatorade bars. First of all, because they are delicious--in both taste and texture. Secondly, because they are based on whey protein, which is the best protein supplement source for humans, from the research I've done. Now, even though these bars are scrumptious--both this mint chocolate flavor and the peanut-butter caramel one, there are two down-sides you might want to know about: the bars are large. For me, a small human (120, size 4), a half bar is as much as I usually need--a whole bar only when starving. Also, please note, these bars are not a low-calorie food--at well over 300 calories, this is not a supplement to be scarfed down willy-nilly. If you are using them as a meal replacement, I suggest eating half now and half later. But in any event, after having been so unhappy with so many other bars, I keep coming back to the Gatorade Bars--they meet the sweet spot for me of healthy ingredients, filling, delicious, and satisfying. Also, I love the mint ones more than the caramel ones because they aren't as sweet---but both are delicious, with no exaggeration. Gatorade has done a good job with these.

Purchased several times before. These are very good tasting, but do contain sugar if you watch that. This is the first time that they were sent USPS and arrived at a different time than other orders. Usually delivered by Amazon, but this time ended up in my mailbox all day, not on my porch. Hot day, you can only imagine.

This protein bar is a bit high on the calories for my liking, but it’s so delicious and filling that I don’t care about the slightly higher calories on it.

Love these Gatorade bars! Perfect for my golf snack. I can’t buy these by the box in the stores.

Sweet product

Great taste, good price and high protein. There are 5g of sugar in them, but still an excellent product.

Have done a lot of research, testing, and tasting over a large variety of "Protein" energy bars for a few years now. We did keep a rotating stock of these in our disaster preparedness kits. High protein, low fat, reasonable sugar, good taste, nice texture, and reasonable price. Have found that using these as a quick breakfast substitute works most times. Most competitors are really just candy bars or are cardboard; these are better. They store reasonably well but are a bit susceptible to high temps. If put in fridge you can extend the good taste, but they quickly develop a white cloudiness looks poor. Do wish the Best By dates were a bit further out. Parents may find these as a solution to finicky breakfast eaters, as the taste is good and nice chocolate. UPDATE: Purchased again, in October 2019, but these expired Dec 1. Boo! Will have to rethink my source.. UPDATE2: Was OK to find that Amazon short life bars had an equivalent shelf life remaining vs store bought; 5 months average. UPDATE3: Tried again in September 20th 2020 but shelf life only until Oct 13. Ugggh, 3 weeks?? Talked to manufacturer, who said that shelf life has reduced to about 8 months maximum due to ingredients change / testing. Indeed, eating much past the DATE they start to cloud over and develop a slight off-putting taste. Didn't stop me from eating, but kept me away from them longer. So, 5 stars for taste and nutrition, but 1-1/2 stars for shelf life.
