So first, yes, they're expensive in comparison, but they're worth it in the long run.Anyone who has ever sat down to rebag and board their books because the poly ones became cloudy and somehow covered in dust from the bags breaking down knows it's a pain. Some may find it part of the fun but once you pay to do it several times, these make more sense.To start, they're absolutely crystal clear. If you hold up the same comic in a thick poly bag next to one of these, you will NEVER want to look at poly again. The colors pop, everything looks bright and like a presentation piece.They're also more rigid, so along with a board they add just an extra bit of stiffness, which is particularly great for corners. Not infallible but you get the idea. You need to crease the fold, but once you do it's forever creased, and depending on preference you can even get away without taping these.I switched to using these over poly for everything from signed books and sketches, to just the current runs of things. If you're into the tens of thousands of books it might not be worth it but if you're a casual collector and reader with only a few boxes it's worth it.

I bought these for my 90s collection of comics. They are strong and clear. I've put some inside some of my top loaders for double protection and they fit inside with ease. I will be ordering more if the price drops.
