I have a normal plasma Panasonic 2D TV. Will it play normal blu rays and dvds?

Yes it can however as I have stated in my review it has a playback issues and may also have playback issues with 2d titles as well. So keep that in mind if conisdering purchasing this player.

Amazon prime compatibility?

No longer works with Amazon Prime Video. We used to stream content regularly. Now a screen comes up that days it is no longer compatible. #&#(+! Amazon.

does it play regular blu ray dvds also or only 3d?

'Bluray' and 'DVD' are two different formats. Every Bluray 3D player will also play standard Bluray. Most will also play DVDs as this one does.
