I love this actuator. It is the perfect job for what I needed it for. Everything is build into it so I don't have to worry about setting extra relays or switches for it. Great price and fast shipping.

This product is IP65 rated so for use outdoor. Had it on my RV for 5 Months (use it to raise and lower my wifi antenna) but it then refused to retract. Have sent it in for repair or exchange but after 2 weeks have not heard on what is going to happen. Hope to hear soon if this was just a bad actuator or what the problem was. Noteworthy is that the screws used on the actuator were rusted, so it might be water has short-circuited the motor. For the rest I was quite happy with the product since it did exactly what I wanted. (BTW the load I measured and it needed less than 30lbs to raise or lower the antenna, so this is well within the limits of the actuator.)Add July 2018:Had received a new unit several months ago after only using it a few times it failed again to retract. Since it was out of warranty I disassembled the unit and found some water damage in the motor tube (rost). Testing things I found out it is running perfectly to extend but when changing the polarity the motor did not run. Windnation is not willing to replace the unit although the initial buy was from July 3 2017 so it was just out of warranty (the original unit the new unit is less than a year old)Changing my initial rating going to buy another brand.Update august 2018I found out it was the microswitch which limits the retraction was defective. Had asked for a new microswitch. Windynation sent me instead as a courtesy a new one, however instead of 6" they sent me a 4" which I could not use. After I complained about this they asked me to sent back everything and they would repair the unit. Since I was done with the whole thing I just bought a new microswitch and put it in. Then sealed the unit completely with silicon so I was sure it would not leak again. My main problem was I build a system which was based on the length of the unit and it was difficult to find any other brand which had the same dimensions. So had to stick with this one and was not willing to spend again money buying a new one nor sending the units back. This was a repair of 30 minutes and the switch was less than $1.00Examining the microswitch revealed it was corroded, so again a indication the unit is not waterproof.

Arrived with deep scratches and missing pin - open box, not new but working fine.Hard to believe... for me too!

Rapid transit speed and low noise are big pluses. Waterproof case is still effective after a year in operation on my solar tracker.

I needed to replace an existing actuator. This one works very well. It does have an internal clutch that slips if it hits its torque limit instead of simply turning off. This means being ready to hit the stop button if your application will not allow you to adjust the travel.

It worked fine, it was just quite slow. I had to return and get a faster actuator. This was an error on my part though, not the product.
