Varathane Premium Fast Dry Wood Stain

Used this for an indoor beam project we took on and I was not disappointed. A little goes a long way and it dried so nicely and fast. Love the color! Wasn’t too messy and I used it outside.

I've been using Varathane oil-based stains for many years now because it was readily available where I shop. I was pleased to know that I could have it delivered to my door. The product performs excellently. It is very easy to apply, dries at a decent rate, and yields an even color tone on my small projects. The uniformity from can to can is very close when comparing freshly stained pieces to older ones. However, results may vary depending on several factors such as, daylight/UV exposure and stirring frequency. I'd absolutely recommend Varathane oil-based stains.

This is my go-to product when redoing furniture. It goes on very smooth and easy. It dries quickly and the pieces I have done have turned out beautiful!

Color is great but doesn’t dry as fast

I purchased this to redosome wooden crates. I did it outside for ventilation but the odor was not bad. I was surprised that this small can stained 5 wooden crates and i have a good amount left. It was easy to apply and dried quickly.

Excellent product, got the desired colour with single use only. As advertised it's quick drying and easy to use. Recommended for diy use, get perfect results.

I first bought the Red Oak stain. It is actually very brown, I wanted more red. So I bought Barn Red, and it is just too red. For me anyway. But I mixed Red Oak and Barn Red in 1:1 mixture and got exactly what I wanted. See the picture it is red oak wood, stained with a 1:1 mixture of Barn Red and Red Oak stains. Good quality stain.
