Revell Wild Weasels
It's pretty big. 22 inches long. Kit lacks some outside detail but other than that it's pretty good

Perfect!
I have been searching for a very long time for this specific plane model. When my dad was in the Air Force, he worked on the F-4s, and when he got out, he went to work for McDonnell-Douglas building them. I will thoroughly enjoy building this. I have seen smaller models if this plane go for double what I paid for this one. I feel I have definitely gotten a great deal on it.

3 star for this F4G
Large at 24" you get what you pay for with this one at about $54.00. While interesting, the overall model is not well detailed and the cockpit is simple with one piece ejection seats. The parts fit OK but some seem sealing will be necessary for a decent finish. The weapons are a shame as they require you to glue on each fin individually which makes them very fragile. This one gets a '3' for bronze level attempt.

Some Issues, But Great Value Overall And A Fun Build
This kit is actually a pretty decent offering from Revell. The only issues I had with the build were from large gaps in panels, misaligned panels that needed to be corrected for a good fit and the lack of detailed information in the instructions. Some of the moldings could be better, but a decent file set and sandpaper was enough to correct most of that joints.I wanted to build the Nellis AFB version of the kit, but the instructions were vague on which set of armaments and canopy set to use. A little bit of online research took care of that. Some of the gaps between panels and sub-assemblies are large and will need to be filled during assembly. The decals are good enough quality to be used without a solvent or set solution, and look nice when applied. These issues are the only reasons the kit received four stars from me instead of five. Overall, the kit was enjoyable to build. The finished model is pretty large as described in other reviews, but that's what I was looking for in this kit.

You Cannot Beat This Price At This Scale!!!!
Okay, are there better 1/32 scale F-4's out there? YES, but none of them offer this amount of detail for this price! I would go over the Pro's and Con's for this kit, but it has already been covered. The nose cone and radar fairing are not completely accurate. The fit is better than most Revell/Monogram kits but you will need putty around the wing roots and intake fairings. Again, the amount of detail and the cost make this kit a great buy. There are so many aftermarket upgrades available that even a professional modeler can find this kit to be more than perfect! I would not recommend this kit to any "rivet counters", but if you are building out of the box, this kit is 100% when it come to "bang for your buck"!!!

The legacy that will live on
This is a model that celebrates the legacy of the F-4 Phantom II fighter Jet. The Phantom II has broken more Aviation records than another Aircraft in history. The Airframe has been modified in so many variants and shared with other NATO countries and many Services throughout. She will always be in the Hearst of US who have had the honor and privilege of taken her to flight and performed maintenance on her frame.Live on Fabulous Phantom for your family will always remember you and speak of you to future generations to come. You will never be forgotten!!!

Great looking F-4G/E
Great kit and for the prise you can get many add-ons that make this kit even better like: Legend's resin cockpit tub and seats with much needed photo etched canopy detail ($40) Eduard makes seatbelts, painted insterment and side panels, which are made for the Tamiya 1/32 F-E but can be made to Fit this Revel kit.I worked on these along with F-4E's at Clark AFB in the late 70's early 80's and I feel this is a better represntation of the F-4E/G....There are some other mods for this kit like metal landing gear and some very nice resin wheels that i intend to get. Seamless suckers has a set of inlets i am going to get but I only advise getting these if you are a very skilled builder as, to install these you must saw the kit and use a fair amount of putty to smooth out the gaps.....but if you do have the skill....they look superb when completed. Now all I have to do is find a decal sheet or sheets that represent of one of the planes I crawled around. Happy building!
