How much does on jewel case weigh in grams?

These cases weigh 52.9 grams. CD cases from the 1980s weighed approximately 90 grams. CD cases from around 2000 weighed approximately 72 grams. These Maxtek cases are significantly lighter and more flemsy than the cases you're replacing. They are perfectly functional, but very light-duty.

Since these plastic jewel cases are shipping from Amazon, I'm wondering, do they come pre-cracked?

Pre-cracked probably refers to the fact that so many of the CDs that you order through Amazon come envelopes via the postal service with little to no protection, and most of the jewel cases are cracked. At least that's been my experience. The CDs themselves are fine, but the cases are cracked. Hence the need to buy more jewel cases.
