Excellent designe mud mixer for a pan it really does very well for the slop angles of the pan

as a professional I thought this was going to be a waste of money. It was not. I make single mud pans of timed mud for drywall repairs. It actually mixes the mud vary well. A good tip is keep a plastic cut in bucket filled with water and run it in the water and it will kleen up nice for the next time.

This mixer attaches easily to my 1/4" impact driver and allows effective mixing of drywall compound in my drywall mixing pan. The shape of this mixing tool is perfect match to the mixing pan so it mixes the compound nicely and completely.

Perfect for mixing my large batch home made dog food

I like this tool. It turns the process of prepping drywall compound into something that feels a bit more like making icing. This tool fit an inexpensive Black & Decker drill I also bought on Amazon, and worked well. I specifically used it to prep ~1 gallon batches of 90 minute drywall compound because I am renovating about 2000 sq ft of non-asbestos popcorn ceiling room by room. After mixing, I drywall knife to patch issues on the ceiling and later roll on a thin layer to provide subtle texture that matches the "orange peel" style walls. Without this mixer attachment, I would inevitably find chunks of drywall compound at the bottom of my batch. With this mixer, it is generally smoother and less chunky, although not 100% chunk free. I used a cheap, wide, relatively shallow (6") plastic bin we had in the house for mixing and filled it nearly to the brim. If you do something similar, do it outside, lay down some ground protection and use a bit of cardboard box as a shield, lest small globs of drywall compound fly in a spatter pattern around where you're mixing!

Love this mixer for mixing up stainless steel mud pan batches of hot mud compounds. Tips: Add your dry, hot mud compound to one end of the pan, leaving a small section at the other end free to pour in water. Using the mixer slowly introduce the dry into the water for a perfectly mixed batch. Using your knife, fold over all sides and ends to capture any missed bits and do a final mix. The tapered shape allows you to rotate the mixer against the sides of the pan. Keep the speed down to reduce air bubbles in the mix.

I purchased this tool to whip drywall mud and it doesn't disappoint. Not only is it thick, sturdy metal, it also does a great job of whipping and not splashing mud everywhere. It is a great tool to whip up mud whenever you need to, and it is really easy to clean (no difficult nooks to reach). I highly recommend this product and feel that it will last a long time with proper care. I use this in a drywall mud trough, or in a coffee can for small batches for touchups.

Good but expensive

Used this to mix concrete, mudding, paint and liquids around the house and farm. I use a 18V Milwaukee drill and it's handled every job with ease. Strong, stirdy and easily cleaned. It's paid for its self by saving me the fatigue.

Worked great for me, solid construction. Only gripe, is that its a little on the expensive side, for what it is.

The shape makes it ideal for mixing up small batches of mud directly in the mud pan. Very quick and results in a smoother mixture than by hand (or in my case, a broken end of a kitchen mixing blade!) Very satisfied. If only it came with a decent mud pan too, as a bundle purchase, that would be outstanding.
