NOVA ILNS 1-1/4-Inch 8TPI Thread Chuck Insert/Adaptor

Worked as advertised. Perfect fit and made an easy adaptation to my lathe. Heavy duty. Nice finish. Nice to see a product that works as good as or better than advertised.

Perfect fit, holds great, with the set screw it's easy to sand in reverse.

So many adapters are basically internal threads than external threads instead of the internal threats being just right on top of the external threads, which really worked out perfect to go from a 1 inch eight threads to a one and a quarter inch eight threads on my leave with a one and a quarter inch eight thread spindle.

Nice insert for my Nova chuck...a little overpriced but that is NOVA for you.

I love it when a plan comes together and this adapter was a perfect fit. A little expensive but the chuck is way more and totally useless without this adapter

The local High School building trades classes got a new lathe. This adapter lets me use Super Nova chuck on it for only a minor cost. We volunteer to teach Woodturning there...

The insert needed to be hones out to propery fit on the lathe arbor, which everything else fits onto perfectly. I needed to reverse the insert on the shaft and hone the inside with a dremel tool, then smooth with emery cloth. Not a big deal, but a pain to do a little better QC was needed on this. Also, the circumference of the insert that rides against the lathe arbor, needs to have a larger surface. The reason I point this out is because once I honed out the insert so that if properly slipped over the flat part of the arbor, it must really hit home or when the chuck is installed or it an wobbles. Chuck should come with the adaptor spanner wench. Once I was able to refine the fit of the ILNS so it properly fit onto the arbor all the way the chuck spun well. I expect it to work. It is not the Easy Tools chuck, but it does not cost as much either.
