The perfect Bluetooth Upgrade Solution for any mixer
The media could not be loaded. This device is excellent. It is well made, easy to install, easy to connect and needs NO BATTERIES 👍 with Phantom power active on the mixer channel(s) it is using. Connects easily to any blue tooth capable device such as computers, tablets, phones or music player. Great for wireless control of break music during a live show or for band rehearsal playing/singing along with prerecorded music. Particularly powerful when used with OnSong on an iPad using multi tracks.

Good product
Works very well in our soundboard, has really good quality and the Bluetooth works from a long ways away.

Handy, and feature-packed. Disappointing range.
I would have given this 3 stars because the range is so disappointing (only about 20 feet), but I'm giving it 4 because of how incredibly handy it is.If you're an audio engineer, you know how fragmented the cell phone headphone jack adapter situation is right now. When clients come up to you and need to play content from a phone, you are expected to have the adapter they need. And there's all sorts of adapters on the market. My new phone also doesn't have a headphone jack, and when looking for a one-size-fits-all solution, I stumbled across this adapter. While I would never use Bluetooth for a mission critical application, this is a fantastically convenient way to get audio into a professional sound system for casual use. The power over phantom means there's no need for external power, and the stereo/mono option allows for easy flexibility. I have two of these units, one stays plugged into my console, and one lives with a small powered speaker, and they've both come in handy on many occasions. My only complaint is the range. I have a pair of Bluetooth headphones that have a 50-75' range through walls, so I know it's not a Bluetooth limitation. This unit is only about 25' line of sight. I work in small clubs and figured I'd be able to have my phone in my pocket and use this to play house music as long as I was on/around stage. I found that even if I walked to the other side of the stage from the receiver, I would begin to experience dropouts. This does slightly limit the applications I could use this unit for. If I kept the phone close to the receiver though, all worked great.Hopefully, Switchcraft will release an updated version with a better antenna to earn my 5th star. In the meantime, I will still be using this unit. Even with the range limitation, it's still a great, convenient option for interfacing pro audio gear with Bluetooth.

Works with ease
Attached to a stereo pair of xlr on my mixer, turned on phantom power, paired to my iPhone easily and turned the volume up. Working range is only about 30 feet. Any further and you will risk a Bluetooth dropout. This is pricey for a Bluetooth adapter but is compact, easy to use and works.

Great Bluetooth range.
Have to buy adapter separately if you don’t have phantom power. My system does, but it wouldn’t work. Had to buy separate electric supply. Other than that this is an excellent addition to my sound system.

Initially failed, then works with noises
When I initially inserted this into two channels on my mixer (with phantom power off), then turned on phantom power, I got a recurring thumping noise in my speakers, and a bit later a kind of mild whistling noise. I moved the device to two other channels, and reconnected my phone via Bluetooth, and was then able to play Pandora tunes through my PA. However, when I turn Pandora off, I am left with a low rumbling noise. I am pretty disappointed as I expected better quality with Switchcraft. I will likely be returning this after some more testing.Later edit... After more tests I modified my rating from 1-star to 3-stars, because the device is working now with no odd noises. I am still not sure what caused the initial fail and noises, because I am using the device exactly the same now as I was then. I think whatever was initially wrong with it has now righted itself - maybe it needed a warmup or break-in period. I will be keeping it, for fear of a replacement doing the same thing. May be a QC problem - each one of these should really be tested thoroughly during manufacturing. I think this one would not have made that cut.
