BEST SINK EVER
It just works way better than any other sink fixture Ive used. Feels expensive and well-engineered. Easiest install compared to the last one. The way the base tightens to the countertop at the end is pretty clever and makes a ton of sense- leave it to the Germans.UPDATE: My joy has been short-lived. 2.5 years later this sink is starting to give me a headache. No leaks, still shuts on and off smoothly, great-- but the sprayer head is no longer functioning correctly- the toggle switch seems to be stuck on "spray mode" and it's been starting to make a strange buzzing noise when I run the water. Since this is the part of the sink I actually interact with the most, it's annoying. Research seems to indicate that I can't just order a replacement for this spray end. Are you kidding me?Two years seems to be too short of a timespan for this to already be showing signs of breaking down. I suppose its possible I simply got a bad one.UPDATE: I discovered that Grohe stands behind a great warranty on their products. I called their customer service and they sent me a new sprayer head for free. Restored to 5 stars!

Very pleased at the price on Amazon, REVISED DOWN, SEE UPDATE
Update 2024-06-27:It has failed inside the "hub" of the faucet. Water leaks down the tube that connects to the sprayer. Can't recommend. Not going to attempt warranty service, as I'll put in a new faucet today and can't waste time on what others have reported is not a smooth support experience. Too bad, Grohe was an excellent brand years ago, but it's time for me to move on to a better quality/price product.UPDATE: This is still an excellent faucet, but I now strongly advise against buying this model, because the very specialized aerator is not available anywhere. I live in an area with hard water, and have to replace the aerators on our faucets every year when the calcium buildup can no longer be removed without destroying them. This faucet uses a very unusual dual-function aerator that handles both the spray and the normal stream. Most pulldown faucets have an aerator for the stream and separate holes for the spray - not this one. The Grohe website shows the part as discontinued, and you will not find it anywhere on the Internet (I found one at a plumbing supply in the UK for £24 !). It would be like buying a car and, after a year, learning that you couldn't get an oil filter for it anywhere. So be warned in advance: don't buy that car, no matter how much you like it! I've written to Grohe, and if they reply, I'll update this review again, but so far just crickets.======This is considered a middle-of-the-road contemporary faucet in Europe, where this style is very popular. Grohe faucets are generally well made and attractive, and this one's no exception. The laminar flow is a very trendy, deluxe feature, although now you can add it to pretty much any faucet by replacing the standard aerator with a laminar flow type. That said, the typical retail price of this faucet is around $300, and Amazon is currently selling it for under $200, so a pretty good value. You can spend five times that much on a faucet that looks and works no better. It would be hard to spend less.If you have a bit of experience installing European faucets, this one goes in very quickly. If you don't, you might run into problems. One problem I've seen mentioned is that it leans a bit. The main reason for this is that there's a rubber o-ring that sits on the sink or counter surface underneath the faucet "trunk", and if this isn't perfectly lined up, the whole thing will be tilted a bit. Another problem that people have is that the sprayer hose should be inserted in the arm before the arm is attached to the trunk, or it will be difficult to get the hose properly inserted. The instructions aren't very clear - again, if you haven't installed European faucets.Once installed, everything worked fine. As a review on another website said, it took longer to remove the old faucet than to install this one (but that's actually the norm). My one small complaint: it take a bit of force to swing the arm around, as there's more friction on this arm than on some other faucets. I don't expect this to be a problem, but the older faucet swung around pretty easily.Overall, a good value on an attractive, good-quality faucet.

Timeless, classic, magic
Simple and functional while also fitting with changing decor styles. I also had an issue after 4.5 years that the spray function was stuck on and I was concerned I'd have to buy a new head, but warranty replaced the sprayer head within a week. I was blown away. Would buy again!

German Quality - Easy to Install
Pros: German quality, easy to install & user experienceCons: ExpensiveHad a Grohe faucet that was still going after 10 years at our previous home, so decided to install a Grohe in our new home. I replaced a poor-quality contractor's grade faucet with this newer generation Grohe faucet. My 10yo son and I installed it in less than 30 minutes. The instructions were straight forward - even my son understood them. My wife likes the fact that the sprayer automatically goes off when you turn the faucet off - which helps with accidentally spraying water everywhere when turning on the faucet to rinse dishes and pots. Plus, the default setting (no spray) is extremely quiet with an exquisite laminar flow.

Grohe was always a winner.
Unless, you receive a defective faucet and your kitchen cabinet gets flooded. The valve cartridge was leaking and I didn't noticed it until hours later. Surprise, now I have a ruined (expensive) kitchen cabinet under my sink and the wooden floor got damaged as well. We have all Grohe throughout the house, but next time I will have to think twice when I have to replace a faucet. Sorry Grohe, I was a happy customer thus far.
