Let me start off my saying that I am partial toward this watch. This watch brings me back to my younger years when I received a similar Seiko 5 as a gift. That was my first automatic watch that I loved and cherished for many years. Some 16 years later, being able to afford nicer watches now, Seiko 5 watches still warm my heart in a special way. Even before my time, I remembered that my grandfather, then my father, all owned a Seiko 5 at one point in time. Therefore, I am very familiar with Seiko 5 line and how reliable they are. This particular watch does not deviate from the Seiko 5 heritage. Good value, great reliability, and good looking. Being a cheaper watch in my collection, this watch performance never ceased to surprise me. It runs at a constant accuracy of +1 sec a day! Unbelievable! It is small enough to not interfere with your arm movement, but large enough to make a wrist presence. Overall, very nice watch for the price paid. Hats off to Seiko for being able to pull a trick like this on a cheaper automatic watch. Most importantly, they have kept the price low for many years without any noticeable increase in price. Grab one while you can.

This was my first automatic/mechanical watch. As a Casio and G-Shock type of guy, I didn't think I'd like the nuances that a mechanical watch is known for. Yes, it does lose time, about 2-5 seconds a day depending on how you let it rest. On the wrist, I have yet to notice a serious drop in time, but I have not seen it lose any time. I've gotten compliments from coworkers and clients (those into watches too) and they all have been positive. My only issue is that the bracelet it comes on is not even on par with those that the retro Casio's come stock with. I switched mine out for an AliExpress Oyster style bracelet and my oh my did it make the watch pop even more.One of my childhood friends is a watchmaker apprentice and I had him look at it when I received it just to make sure shipping hadn't done anything to it. He was happy to report that it was fine and it was in solid working order after putting it on a demagnetizer and timegrapher.As a dress watch/weekend watch/ everyday watch/first mechanical watch, this is perfect. I wear mine on the weekends so it does stop by the time monday afternoon hits, but I've fallen for its charm and routine in doing the infamous Seiko Shuffle and time resetting.Great watch.

I give it 5 stars for the combination of very good quality and dirt cheap price.This is a SNXS line Seiko,not SNK,they are a little different and IMO more elegant.The watch is just beautiful! The dial plays with the light it is NOT plain/matte finish;applied markers not printed,beautiful hands and very clean elegant case.The watch even has lume and it is pretty good.I bought the SNXS75 and SNXS77 and they are very accurate.You can not hand wind the watch so if dont wear it for hours it may stop in much less then 38 h,which is its power reserve.This watch is smaller than most/37mm i think/ have this in mind.The bracelet is flimsy and needs to be sized in most cases-i always put my own straps so i dont care about this.

I have only had the watch for 10 days so I cant speak to long term reliability but it is accurate. It looses about 6 sec a day while wearing but at night sitting face up on the nightstand it stays within 1 sec. The band is very comfortable and has a quick adjust clasp but if you need more than 3/4" you will have to remove links. There are 7 removable links and are a bit tricky to get off as there are no instructions or paperwork included with the watch, however you can get directions from the web. My watch is a Made in Japan vs Malaysia sold by the local stores but I believe it is grey market which is why there was no warranty or instructions included and it was only wrapped around a Seiko pillow in a Seiko box but without the case or stand and flopped around in the box. You also only get a 2 year Amazon Warranty vs the Seiko 3 year Warranty. You cannot hack the watch (stop the second hand to sync) but if you really need too the second accuracy you need a quartz movement anyway not mechanical. The spring reserve is about 27 hours although it is difficult to tell if the watch is really completely wound with an automatic but count on having to reset it if you have not worn it all weekend and pick it up on Monday morn. I really like the look and size of the watch. It is not a big watch, more reminiscent of the vintage watches of the 60's and your sleeve will drop over the watch without shaking you arm and your jacket does not hang up every time you need to look at it.I would buy this watch again or recommend it to a friend and only held back on the 5th star because you do loose 1 year of warranty and there is NO paperwork with the watch.

This is a beautiful looking budget everyday dress or casual watch. The light grey dial looks like Rolex Perpetual! I have been wearing it for last few days and it gives excellent time. It’s 37mm watch which fine on my small wrist but wish it was 39mm. If you have large wrist, it maybe an issue. It does not have hand winding or hacking just like most Seiko 5. The luminous hands are just great, which is vey rare for dress watched! The bracelet comes with the watch is hideous. I have swapped with leather strap, and it makes a huge difference! Overall it’s outstanding for money.

I own a number of seiko watches and have aways been impressed with their quality, style and the bang for the buck. In terms of style this is one of the finer looking watch however I suppose I just got a lemon. The watched worked for about 12 hours then stopped and only worked a few minutes afterwards. Amazon was great and I have returned it for a full credit. Better luck next time as I am not turned off by the manufacturer just this particular one.

Absolutely my favorite watch, preferring it to my DateJust.It's gorgeous, chic, understated and smart.The dial is beautiful, sunburst patterning in rich form. I have another Seiko 5 and love the size of the hands and indices with respect to how they fill the space of the dial - it's just effective on every level. The bracelet is cheap but attractive; I don't feel the need to replace it.I wish the lume on the hour markers wasn't as strong as they can look glow-in-the-dark with little effort (sunny day). It's the watch's main fault in my opinion.Amazing, amazing watch.

I ordered this Seiko 5 on Amazon and Jomashop was the seller. The watch is exactly what I wanted and it keeps perfect time. There was one instance where it stopped running, but I quickly realized that I wasn’t moving my arm around enough to keep the automatic movement moving. A simple change to the watch band (loosened it) was all that was needed to make it work properly. I am extremely happy with my watch.Also, when I ordered the watch and received confirmation, the expected arrival date was 7 - 10 days, which was fine. I actually received the watch in three days! Amazon and Jomashop are both amazing! I will definitely purchase from them again.As an aside, I have a Seiko 5 that I bought back in the early 1980’s and it too keeps perfect time. It has a lot of character due to the scuffs and scratches on the crystal and band. I wore that watch for about two decades only retiring it after purchasing a Fossil.

I love this watch. Initial reaction that maybe it would be to small a size but because I have very large forearms but no it fits really good on the arm and looks amazing. I have also seen the new lineup of there 5 series watch's which look quite appetizing to my eyes. Best bang for your buck watch out there no questions.
