My squirrels love it
I have a family of squirrels live around my yard, so I purchased this corn to give him a little treat. I can put it out and it doesn’t last more than an hour before they’ve taken hidden away.

Ear Corn ?
I was brought up on a Dairy Farm, but Ear Corn is not something I had ever heard of, is this Cow's Corn? The Squirrels love it and what a treat for them. I felt guilty though, I put a corn in several Squirrel pickle jar feeders and one in a peanut ring. I have the next door neighbor squirrel run the electrical line over the road to my place down the trees and he is the take over of the peanut ring. I put one in the ring thinking he would find it that way. Then I felt guilty thinking he would not be able to get the corn out. I could see the corn sitting in the ring and thought, he either doesn't like it or can't get at it. Later I went out to check and see. The corn was totally gone, he left the cob. I forgot about the cob. I laughed. It is a hit and simple to use to feed especially in a hurry. I bought a picnic table just for squirrels too feed on cob. This picnic table for Squirrels that holds one corn straight up in the center. I'm waiting to see a squirrel sitting on the table eating the corn. They are such clowns and there a peacefulness watching the animals eat from the feeders. Seems no one in my neighborhood feed the animals and that is ok, I get so much joy doing so. I'm sure I will have them trained to come right to me and eat from my hand. I'm a regular Doctor Dolittle and am so happy to have these animals to watch and enjoy. I will definitely keep buying this corn. I feel it is a good value for your money. I highly recommend this corn. I'm afraid the supplier might not be able to keep up with everyone's supply. Thank you for your extra ears.

The corn was fine, but now have a moth infestation
The product was fine, the squirrels and blue jays like it, but about a week ago we started to notice moths floating around the house. we did not know where they were coming from but there were A LOT!Our nightly routine would be to walk around with a vacuum sucking them off the walls and ceiling. Anyway, this morning I noticed more moths than usual around a basket where I keep my bird seeds and corn... I adjusted the bag of corn and saw a lot of activity in there... After closer examination, there are a lot of moths in the corn. It appears the species infesting my corn is the Angoumois Grain Moth which as caterpillars burrow into the kernel then emerge as a tiny moth... many of my kernels have little holes in them so this makes sense. Hopefully throwing this bag of corn away or dumping it all outside will end the hard fought battle between the moths and myself =).I believe an infested ear of corn was accidentally included in the bag. My thinking for this is we do not really have these moths around here that I know of and have never had this issue before, and the bag looks like a mothy, cornmealy mess, so I think they originated there.I do not blame the seller really... It has to be kind of difficult to detect an issue like this. I have bought this product twice now and the first time I had no issue, so this may have just been an unfortunate coincidence. I will purchase again soon and if no issues then great, but if another infestation occurs, I will re-rate this product and update this review.

The Squirrels love the corn, but beware of potential Pantry moth infestation
I bought this package this Spring for my wife to feed our backyard mother squirrel and her brood of pups. They really love the corn and they have a great time just pulling all the kernels off the cob even if they don't eat all the kernels immediately. We would give them an ear of this corn every now and then as a treat. The quality of the corn seemed good. The cobs are mostly quite full of kernels, though there is some loose kernels and a few bare spots on the cobs. Overall I was pleased with the purchase. However, a few months after we opened the package I noticed that there were these tiny tan moths flying around in the house at night, about 6-7 mm long. At first it was just a few and they were pretty easy to kill so I didn't get too concerned, thinking they had flown in through an open door. The moths kept showing up though night after night and soon they became really annoying. I subsequently learned that they were Indianmeal or Pantry moths (Plodia interpunctella) that feed on grain. At first I wasn't sure where they were coming from, I looked through all the bird seed, peanuts, almonds and found nothing, but when I looked in the open bag of corn cobs there were hoards of the evil moths, some dead, but many dozens fluttering around in the bag. I don't know if the corn was shipped already infested with the eggs or if they picked them up here after the bag was opened. I do know that we have never had these moths before and previous ears of corn purchased from other vendors never had this problem so I suspect that they were shipped infested with moth eggs. You can kill the moth larva and eggs by heating them to 150 degrees F or by putting them in a freezer for a week. If you purchase bulk ears of corn like this, I would highly recommend doing so as soon as you receive them and then subsequently putting them in an airtight bucket to minimize the risk of getting a moth infestation (apparently the larva can chew through plastic bags and thin cardboard).

Loved by all the critters
I've been buying from this company for quite some time. The squirrels make short work of the cobs. They really love them. However, I highly recommend you check the bag before you open it. Unbeknownst to me in my last order there were a whole bunch of little moths in the bag. They got out into the house. Before I opened the second bag, I checked. And sure enough, moths having a banquet. It's a good product and I will continue to buy it. I'll just be sure to check for moths first.
