I was honestly impressed by how natural and lightweight the Covergirl Simply Ageless Foundation feels on the skin. The creamy texture blends very easily and gives a smooth, even finish without looking heavy or cakey. It does a great job evening out skin tone while still looking natural and skin-like. One thing I really appreciate is that it doesn’t settle into fine lines as much as many other foundations I’ve tried. The formula feels hydrating and comfortable throughout the day, which makes it especially nice for mature or dry skin types. It gives a soft healthy glow instead of a flat matte look. The SPF 28 is also a nice bonus for daily wear, and I like that it includes skincare ingredients like hyaluronic complex and vitamin C. The compact packaging is practical and easy to carry for touch-ups on the go. Shade 220 Creamy Natural matched better than expected and blended nicely into my skin tone. Coverage is light-to-medium but buildable enough to cover redness and uneven areas without feeling thick. Now that I’m in my late 30s, I’ve realized my skin just doesn’t work well with super thick, full-coverage foundations anymore. Heavy makeup tends to settle into texture and make everything look worse instead of better. At the same time though, I still deal with acne scars, uneven redness, and combination skin, so finding a balance has been difficult. This foundation has honestly been one of the best middle-ground products I’ve found. It gives really nice coverage without looking overly thick or cakey on the skin. It smooths out a lot of my redness and acne scarring while still looking natural enough for everyday wear. My skin still actually looks like skin instead of feeling covered in a heavy layer of makeup. I also appreciate that it works well with combination skin. Some foundations either cling to dry spots or turn greasy quickly, but this one stays pretty balanced throughout the day for me. Another thing I noticed is that it has a softer, more flattering finish on mature skin compared to matte foundations that can emphasize every little line or texture issue. If you’re getting older and struggling to find makeup that gives coverage without making your skin look heavy or overdone, this is definitely worth trying.

***UPDATED*** 2 Weeks Later.. *The first time I reviewed this foundation I had only used it once and thought it was good/okay. I've been using it for almost 2 weeks now and decided it deserves an update. Here's what I've learned.. First and foremost, in my initial review I failed to notice that this foundation has a BROAD SPECTRUM SPF, which is an important factor in any skin care of beauty routine. Second, I love how BRIGHTENING this foundation is! It isn't thick or cakey, but goes on oh so smooth, and because of how brightening it is, I really don't need to fuss with much highlighter. Third... And this is the biggest reason why I'm reviewing a second time.. I originally gave this foundation 3 stars but have bumped that up to 5. I feel kind of dumb because I work in the beauty industry she totally missed the point of this foundation the first time around. When I saw the advertising for "Ageless" and that it floats over lines and wrinkles I assumed it would conceal those imperfections and was annoyed that I could still see my fine lines after applying. TOTALLY NOT THE POINT! The idea is that it IS antiaging because the product isn't sitting in those lines (and pores!) making them deeper and larger, which in turn helps your skin stay younger looking. I really feel silly for not picking up on that right away. So... You've got SPF, Peptides, and it won't settle into your lines and pores. This foundation is a winner! Thank you Cover Girl!! *FIRST REVIEW/FIRST DAY* Today I used my new Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Wrinkle Defy Foundation. I was sent this product for free from Covergirl for testing and review purposes. First impression of this product is that it is good.. But I wasn't blown away. I love that it contains peptides, which as an esthetician are a key component in many of my favorite products. I am pretty picky about foundation, but am by no means a make-up pro. Here is a breakdown of my overall opinion on this product.. 1. Easy color matching. Because I was sent this product for review purposes, I had to choose/guess what shade would suit my skin tone, which is light to medium with very red undertones. I went with Creamy Natural and found that it is a perfect match for my skin. (For comparison, I use Medium Beige Bare Minerals). 2. The foundation comes with an applicator sponge, which is what I used to apply. The foundation goes on silky smooth and is very easy to blend. Some foundations I have tried seem to coat every baby hair/peace fuzz/rogue blonde eyebrow on my face, but this one did not. I found the finish to be very natural looking, which is incredibly important to me! 3. As far as the Anti-Aging component, this is why I only gave this product 3 stars. I actually felt that it highlighted my wrinkles, specifically my "crows feet" which I have NEVER been concerned with before. Usually it's fine lines on my forehead and glabella that bother me the most. If you look at my before and after photos, you can see (or at least I saw) that my crows feet stood out more in the "after" photo. I'll give it another try tomorrow and see if I get the same effect. Maybe it was poor lighting, but I did take the picture in my usual "selfie spot" :D. I won't give up on this foundation just yet because it actually did a really nice job blurring my acne scars, which is one of my biggest concerns when looking for a new foundation. It also scored big with me for how well it concealed my very red undertones. For the retail price, I think this is a good foundation. Certainly much better than others I have tried and if I can avoid the expensive department store brands I definitely will. Covergirl & Olay Simply Ageless Wrinkle Defy Foundation is worth trying for sure.

Good coverage so I use as a concealer because it feels heavy on. Color match is perfect. Skin like look. Lasts all day.

This is a quality make up foundation. Color matches my skin tone and is a good match all around.

i usually splurge when it comes to foundation because I believe it's the one product that should look flawless and virtually undetectable. I was curious after reading reviews about Covergirl. I hadn't used any Covergirl products since the 1980s. Well, I was in for a wonderful surprise when I tried their Simply Ageless Wrinkle-Defying Foundation. Wow! It glides on smoothly, is lightweight and gives a natural appearance. Moreover, it doesn't oxidize at the end of the day -- the color stays true. For the price, this is a wonderful foundation that also contains skin-loving ingredients and sun protection.

Just tried this as recommended from someone. I liked the texture and coverage, but it's not going to last long for the price. Makeup in general is getting so overpriced. UPDATE: Still like this product, but the price per ounce is just way too much. Won't buy again for that reason.

This is amazing for the price. I took a complete guess on my call. I wanted something a touch darker than my natural because I am very pale skinned (I didn’t put any product on my neck in these photos, so my neck is my true color). I went with 220. It is exactly what I was hoping for. It wasn’t pinky or orange. It was a very good neutral shade. Any pinkness that you think you see in my skin is partly just my undertones and partly because I’m wearing a red shirt. The product itself is not a pink undertone. It was a very nice neutral. Also very important to me. Is that this product doesn’t have any scent whatsoever. I’m serious not even a little bit. I also appreciate that it came with the sponge and the sponge that securely in the bottom away from the product. You screw the other side off to open the foundation side. I have dry skin and this worked fine for me. It dries down pretty quickly to a gentle natural semi matte powder type of finish. For someone like me with dry skin it might be good to spray a hydrating finishing spray on top, but I am not fussy and I just wanted something that I could quickly throw on with a sponge.

Can't believe how great this product is, for the price - even on very mature skin. Love the fact that the sponge stays in a separate compartment away from the foundation. Love the fact that the foundation applies so easily, even on wrinkled skin. Especially love that it blends into any imperfections, hiding them and making the face appear more youthful. Have tried almost every brand of foundation in my lifetime but can honestly say, for me anyway, it ranks amongst the very best. Definitely sold on this product, that's for sure.

Product is great however it was all broken apart due to it not being bubble wrapped! Amazon posted through the door rather than hand deliver it.

I have been using this beautiful foundation for years and nothing compares to this beautiful creamy soft product. I recommend this product to anyone who is wants good natural looking coverage, a great range of natural colour choices. Love it love it love it.

Unfortunately this foundation in this particular shade is hard to find. The price of this one is outrageous! l lived in the US for 30yrs and used CoverGirl for most of it. To buy it over there costs a fraction of this price. It is a pity CoverGirl no longer supplies to the UK. There are sellers on EBay with varying prices but then you have to add shipping costs which just makes the price ridiculous. If CoverGirl came back to the UK I am sure they would have a good market for their products, this in particular I find outstanding, it goes on like velvet, so smooth. It blends beautifully and has good coverage. I use a cream blusher and sometimes I lightly dust over the top with a mineral powder. The effect is like the look Ellen has in her advert, glowing, glamorous, and healthy. By the way, I am almost 80yrs old, if it can make me look good it can make anyone. :)
