Is this easy for non-tekkies to set up for basic functions (create home wifi network with ethernet primary connection and 4g auto failover)?

Yes - I had mine up and working in less than 10 minutes. Easy to setup for broadband with 4G backup. It’s been working for almost a year now, no problems at all. Infinitely better than the BT Homehub. Bit pricey but you definitely get a great bit of kit for the money.
