A high quality lighter, the hinge was tight, the lighter itself was weighty enough to feel good, the coating was thick enough my laser had trouble marking it. Overall a good value

EXCELLENT EXCEPTIONAL

First off, as many have said already, IT'S A ZIPPO! That means it's built like a tank, and will never break under anything close to normal circumstances... and if it DOES break somehow it will be fixed no questions asked. You have to take care of it (fill it with fuel, change the wick and flint from time to time), but it is ten times classier than a Bic and very well-made. But enough about zippos in general, let's talk about THIS zippo. The black matte finish is probably just about the most understated zippo you can get. It's not shiny, it has no text or logos or designs... if you didn't know better you might even think it was a knock-off brand and not a real zippo. If you're a zippo collector, this will be the most boring lighter in your collection. If you're the kind of guy (or gal) who likes to do flashy tricks, you'll probably want something more showy. But if you're looking for a lighter to carry and use all the time, this one is hard to beat. Matte finishes don't show scuffs and scratches nearly as much as polished surfaces will, and since the appearance of the finish is the only thing NOT covered by the zippo warranty, that is extra important (remember, we're talking about a lighter that you can keep basically forever. It's going to get scratched up eventually). The look of the black matte is clean, simple, and understated... and it will stay that way.

Been using this for quite some time. Fits great in a pocket with a pleasant heft that is not excessive. The metal feels sturdy, and the case has that distinctive click when you give it a flick. I have been using regular alcohol to fuel the wick. I am thinking of replacing the wet wick with a refillable pressurized gas cartridge to keep it from running dry so quickly. The flame is also resistant to wind as expected. It has not leaked in a pocket, but I had issues when it was left on its side for too long. The pressurized insert would also prevent that.

The wick was missing so I had to order a replacement wick separately. Now that it has a wick, it works perfectly. Easy to open up to replace parts and refill. Matte black case looks great.

Not much to say about this, its a zippo for sure. The flame oblivious is good and pretty wind resistant. Its very compact and lightweight so its almost an accessory to your outfit. Refilling it is pretty simple if you're used to liquid butane lighters. And the durability is obviously better than your average gas station light. Im mostly giving this 5 starts just off the fact it looks and sounds good

I have purchased two of these so far to have laser engraved on my xtool d1 pro laser. The material under the black is brass so it gives a cool black to brass contrast when laser engraved. Plus they are Zippos so well built
