Looks Good!
This is a good product. Allows your dash cam to appear as if it was professionally installed. No loose wires running across your dash trying to reach your cigarette lighter socket. Just be sure to order the correct model

Works Amazingly!
First of all, it works well. I have a 2022 Tacoma Off Road, and the model that I purchased (12 pin, Type A) was compatible with my year and make. Installation took 20 seconds, and that's not an exaggeration. The adapter is basically just a bridge/extension cable between the vehicle and the mirror, with a USB-C connection point spliced in between. Before this, I had a fuse tapped under the driver's side panel, and I never liked it because the "add a fuse" kit stuck out further than the OEM fuses, which made it impossible to put the cover for the fuse box back on. That bothered me. This thing fixed that problem. Best part is that you dont have to run wires/cables through your trim. If you've ever done that on a hot summer day, you know how miserable it can be. The USB-C extension port has a sticky side that I stuck to the back of my mirror so it isn't visible. All and all, I'd say this adapter is well worth the money, is built very well, and will save you the headache and time of running wires. I'm so happy with this, that I'm considering buying the adapter that supplies power while the vehicle is off.

Plug-and-Play Dashcam Power Solution for My 2019 Toyota Tundra!
This Dongar Dash Cam Power Adapter was exactly what I needed to install my dashcam in my 2019 Toyota Tundra without the hassle of hardwiring or using fuse taps. It plugs directly into the back of the rearview mirror, making the whole setup super clean and professional-lookingโno dangling wires or exposed connections. The install took under 5 minutes. Itโs literally plug-and-play. The adapter fit perfectly into the Tundraโs 12-pin mirror harness, and the USB connection powered my dashcam immediately. It also turns on and off with the ignition just like it's supposed to, which gives me peace of mind that it's working correctly without draining the battery. This is hands-down the easiest and most OEM-looking way to power a dashcam. If you have a Toyota with a compatible mirror, donโt even think twiceโget this adapter!

Some Camry models too, ...
As long as you Camry has the electrical auto dimming mirror with a direction indicator this will work, it was an optional feature so it will not work on all models by it works fine on my 2012 and 2016 since they both have this type of mirror installed. It is not designed to work with models where the plug is inside a casing (FitDVR is one model that work with those type of mirrors) instead of on the back where to place the box is not as obvious on a Camry. Also only get the if you do not want parking monitoring. This type of mirror is only supplied power when the car is running. If you live and work in a safe area this will work fine for you. I am using mine on a Viofo with the Starvis 2 sensor. It is significant upgrade from the older Sony sensor but that is for a different review, I just felt the need for context of application. Yes, the Camry uses 3 of the 12 pins, this adapter only connect 8 of the 12 but they include the 3 used on their auto dimming mirrors. Unplugging and plugging is easy. The type C connector fits tightly so I doubt it is ever falling out. I was not able to test the other three cable. All are fairly short to avoid a cable bundle behind the mirror.

Easy Install & Works Perfectly So Far - 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB
I almost ordered one of these for my previous truck but the reviews warning of blown fuses and CE codes after install made me hesitate. I really wanted to install a dashcam in my new truck so I finally ordered one to give it a shot. My truck is a 2021 Tacoma TRD Sport DCSB with premium and tech. My dashcam is an older (2018) Aukey DR02 that takes a mini USB cable for power. I read that others were successfully using the mini Garmin cams, but figured my dashcam is pretty small and basic (no WiFi, no GPS, no rearview cam) so the power requirements would likely be similar. Install takes all of 5 minutes and everything you need is in the box. I wish Dongar disclosed in the listing that they include a 6 inch mini USB & a 6 inch micro USB cable because I ordered short cables separately. Either way, a nice add-on to include in the box. Install goes like this: 1. Clean your windshield. 2. Align and place the adhesive pad (or suction cup) for your dashcam behind the mirror. 3. Unplug the 12-pin connector from the back of your mirror. 4. Plug the Dongar adapter into your mirror where you just removed the OEM cable. 5. Plug the OEM cable back into the 12-pin port on the Dongar adapter. 6. Plug the USB cable into the Dongar adapter and into your dashcam. 7. THEN start or power up accessory mode in your truck. I've checked the adapter's temperature after use (again, due to warnings in reviews here) and it's nice and cool as it should be. My guess is folks who had issues with it running hot or blowing fuses are using devices that draw a lot of power thus overloading the adapter. Everything so far works as described and it's a nice clean install with no wires hanging and no ports below permanently in use by the dashcam. As an alternative to a traditional hard-wire install, which some might not be comfortable or capable of doing, this little adapter is the way to go and a nice mod for under $35.

Perfect for my 16 WRX
Works great with my 2016 Subaru WRX. I initially bought the wrong pin configuration and then unfortunately ordered a different 12 pin for my 16 WRX. After realizing my mistake I ordered this Dongar and waited a few extra days. Perfect fit and works perfectly. My only very minor drawback is i wish the USB-C cable included was a little shorter. I'm not sure about other applications but I really only needed about a 3" cable when you figure in the extra length from the adapter itself.

Works with Toyota, specifically the Tundra
Wow...was not expecting this to work with both my 2019 Toyota Tundra and my Garmin Dashcam 20; however, it plugs right in on the back of the mirror and powers my dash cam with the use of a Micro USB to Mini USB adapter. The adapter is very small and compact, which allows me to mount the dash cam right below my mirror using the mirror mount kit for Garmin devices. The dashcam powers on when the vehicle starts and will power off when the truck is shut off. The mirror is a powered Homelink mirror which controls my three garage doors as well as automatically dims while driving at night. The adapter was plug and play, but since it has a Micro USB output, I had to get an adapter to fit my Dashcam 20 which has a Mini USB input. The only negative, and this has nothing to do with the adapter, is that the dash cam powers up on startup and reads the adapter as a USB transfer device, so it goes to the bright-white transfer screen and doesn't dim or return to the view screen until you press cancel. However, it does still record while in data transfer, you just have to press cancel to return to the main screen. This isn't a problem in the daytime, but at night, the white screen will blind you while driving. You just have to cancel when you first start up the vehicle. I highly recommend this adapter for those of us Toyota owners...too bad they are currently out of stock...hopefully they will make more of these for folks to streamline the look of using a dash cam without all those cords!

Plug and play for Tundra
Grabbed this for my truck and install was really easy. Disconnect the stock power supply and connect with the dongar connector. Nice and low profile. Saves the hassles of running a wire to my fuse box for my dash cam. I have no issues with it overheating and no issues with the dash cam functioning. Dash cam shuts off when the vehicle is shut off and I have not experienced any battery drain. Works as it should with no errors. My auto dimming mirror still fully functional. Bit on the expensive side but to me it was worth it to not have a run of cables and routing it.

Amazing product. A bit pricy but no messy wiring required. Plug and play set up. Works on my Mitsubishi Phev 2022 12 pin connection.

Plug and play all the way
Took a min to install and plug dash cam in, took longer to clip and place where it should go would. Recommend if you don't want to tap into the fuse or lighter socket. Makes things cleaner looking
