Awesome! This works particularly well with Soy Curls (also by Butler) but can be used with many other meat substitutes, veggies, etc. It cooks well and gives it a nice flavor without being overly salty.

Love the soy curls and ran out of what seasoning we had. The old seasoning isn’t sold anymore so I went back to the source. Worth it!

Love the flavor and hate the clumping! I accidentally found that if I took it out of the container and put it into a zip lock bag in the freezer, there is no clumping at all. Now it’s perfect.

This seasoning really packs a punch and is downright tasty but beware, at manufacturer's recommended rate for seasoning their Soy Curls product, it was way too strong and salty for me and for most people I am guessing. I would recommend halving the application rate of this stuff if you're not a huge fan of salt and, since it is of exceptionally fine-ground consistency you can easily add more of it according to your taste and it just melts right in. I have also used this to lightly season cooked kamut grain and again, a little goes a longer way than you might expect. As far as an "authentic" chicken taste, that's not really something I can comment on because I've not had chicken for over 35 years but it definitely does impart a hearty, unique and tasty flavor to lots of stuff and adds a pleasing golden-brown color to bland colored foods.

....as you try to keep up on your protein, you must try the curls. GEEZ, YES THE SEASONING IS SALTY. They should manufacture a low-salt/no salt version. I ONLY LIKE MY POPCORN REAL SALTY. Being a virgin consumer, I did half a bag with 2 Tblsp only. Next time I'll do less. No HBP in my senior years but want to stay that way. Now with heart disease in my family I eat a more Mediterranean diet. I threw first time in some sumac & za'atar in with using roasted garlic EVO. Next time sliced onions, mushrooms, greens & garlic. SKY IS THE LIMITI did what 2 reviews said. I mixed the seasoning with a little purified water first like you do with a cornstarch slurry. I drained purified water from the curls really well. I cut up some chick-style seasoned browned curls and popped them in my minestrone soup to add protein. My creative brain wants to incorporate curls & the chick-style seasoning into other dishes and experiment. Another form of complete protein... I'm excited. BUT YOU GOTTA TRY THE SEASONING WITH THE CURLS FIRST AND GO FROM THERE.

Makes soy curls taste great, but both bottles I have are hard as a rock. I will probably order again, but immediately transfer it to another container.

I have many vegetarian recipes that call for this specific product. I love this chicken style seasoning, especially when used with Butler's soy curls - prepare the soy curls per package directions and use this chicken style seasoning - it tastes amazing. Unfortunately my husband isn't a fan. He can taste celery in the seasoning and he absolutely refuses to eat anything with celery. So now I either use the seasoning in small amounts or when he won't be eating what I'm cooking.

This product should always be added to your purchase when buying soy curls. Delicious flavor, easy to use. I follow directions on label. Makes the soy curls have a delicious taste. I use this seasoning no matter what I am doing with soy curls, even if I am going to make Italian, BBQ, or Mexican recipes. Recommend.
