Absolutely love this case!
I purchased my iPod Touch 3G right when the 4G was released which meant finding any accessories was going to be a hassle. I was able to buy a case at the same time - a Griffin case that opened like a book, but the sides of the frame were so wide that they covered the edges of the iPod touch screen. This meant you had to constantly move the case (either by pushing it slightly or lifting it) to select anything (including on the keyboard) at the edge of the screen. On a trip back to the store I found a a DLO case being clearanced. It was fine, until it wasn't. It was very flimsy. The leather frame around the face was the same width all-around (almost as if it were an iPhone instead), and the iPod sat in a pocket that only came about halfway up the sides. I always felt that the iPod was just going to slide out. Add to it the flimsy pieces on the bottom - DLO mirrored the size of the piece between the plug input and the headphone jack on the other side as well, and you had a recipe for disaster. I would imagine turning around quickly and having the iPod fly out of the case when my hand moved suddenly. Fortunately that never happened. However, the first thing to go was the piece at the bottom between the plug and headphone jack. Then the thread came loose on the frame. Since the material had been doubled over, then sewn, it was now in two parts. I once again had to find another case, this time online. This new case is SO MUCH BETTER than the other DLO case. I was drawn to it because it also had the pocket in the cover like the first DLO case and because it isn't leather. But, it turned out, this case is much better made. The top of the frame around the iPod face completely covers the unused black space at the top of the iPod (where the earpiece is on the iPhone) and the bottom is the same with an opening just for the home button. The sides go almost to the top, with an opening on the left side for the volume control. And on the bottom, the strap on the left is much wider than the one on the right. My iPod is secure and I never feel like it is going to slide out. I even found a use for the little tag on the side. Since it's a loop, I could attach a keyring which holds a locator in case I put my iPod down somewhere in the house and can't find it. The only negative about this case is that the pocket doesn't give so you can't fit much in it - just a few business cards or your bus pass. The sad part is that the original DLO case I bought was made later than this one. It specifically marketed iPod Touch 3G, whereas this one was made for the 2G. I keep thinking I should have bought two, but I'm pretty sure this case is going to last longer than the iPod.

A disappointing case for an expensive iTouch
The first problem I had with this item was the price. Even though it was listed as "$9.95+free shipping", $7.28 shipping was added when I went to check out, with no way to get it corrected - particularly dissapointing since the postage on this item wasn't even $1.50. I found out after-the-fact that the "free shipping" was ONLY good for a street address, NOT a PO box but there was no disclaimer of such in the listing. The case arrived quickly but didn't look like the photo in the listing. The openings on the side are in different places, the material is much less 'supple' than the photo shows and the slot for a credit card built into the inside of the 'flip' top is directly on top of the iTouch, making it impossible to feel good about using it for fear of scratching the screen. Even the ridge the stitching creates there rubs against the screen and makes it difficult for the magnets to hold the flip securely closed. The belt clip on the back does NOT rotate and is fairly cheaply attached. There is also no hole to accomodate the ambient light feature of the iTouch 2nd gen. There are better cases available. My suggestion is that you keep looking at the other options because I didn't find this one satisfactory and I am returning it.ADDITIONAL NOTE (added 8-26-10): When I returned this item, an additional email to the seller got the s/h fee refunded, which is how I discovered that the free shipping is NOT available if you have the item sent to your PO box instead of a street address. The seller was responsive and accomodating.

Good product
The product is sturdy and stiff. It works great, no doubt. Only inconvenient is in that a strap is very close to volume button. I had to slide my ipod out to adjust the volume. I bought similar product many years earlier (when the ipod touch came into market). That is why I bought it again after the original case broke out. The only difference is in that this product is more stiff, and I consider it good for the travels I make. I surely recommend this product for those who are still hanging on to the original iPod Touch, like me.

Great protection and quality, but I wish it was a little more practical
I only have two main problems with this case.1. The belt clip makes it really bulky and virtually impossible to fit into a pocket in women's pants.2. The way the casing fits makes it impossible to plug the iPod in to a USB cord (or rather, it will plug in but when you let go it'll fall out instantly)Luckily, my iPod alarm dock has the iPod standing up while plugged in, so the weight will hold it down and it can charge while in the case. However, I use a charging cord in my car and the plug won't stay plugged in without me holding it there because the case is a bit too bulky around the charger hole.Overall I am happy with the physical appearance and protection of the case, but it's a hassle to have to take it in and out when using it in my car. From what I've seen on Amazon though, this is probably your best option for a flip case.

pretty nice for the price
feels and looks much nicer than the price I paid, here. I like to have something protecting the screen of my ipod, so I thought I'd give this a try. It fits my ipod touch 2g nicely, though the sides overlap the screen just slightly; it's not a deal-breaker for me, but I can see how it might be for someone else. the magnets that hold the cover closed work, but they seem a tad weak. I haven't had any problem, so far. Finally, I wanted this case for the clip, in addition to the other features; the clip works for me; if you need one that rotates, however, you'll need to keep looking. As for me, though, this will easily be my case of choice when I need to clip my ipod to my belt or pocket.
