Purchased as an upgrade for my sons computer and is excellent. The increase in speed was just what we were looking for so he can play his games. It was easy to install and no issues.

While I find AMD's Ryzen 3 series to be impressive and worthy of consideration, ultimately single threaded performance is too important. I run a performance monitoring app 24/7, so that I can truly know where my bottlenecks are. 95% of the time that my system is waiting on the CPU it has idle cores, but one or more of the busy cores is maxed -- a single-thread bottleneck. This happens over a diverse range of applications, from my IDE, to web browser, to video games. AMD has a few products for this price that can thrash this in fully multi-threaded workloads. Yet, precious few workloads are threaded enough to benefit. If you are doing heavily threaded workloads, like compression or renders, look elsewhere. If you are a typical power user though, you will probably find better daily performance from a CPU like this.

This CPU allows my 3070 to max out 99% of the gpu at 1080p and 1440p 165hz. Paired the cpu with a 240mm corsair aio and running 32GB 3200MHz Ram. System runs amazingly well. So if youre considering this CPU to pair with the 3070 id say go for it.

My friend wanted an upgrade from a i7 8700K in order to squeeze out more frames out of games, and this CPU defiantly does that. Cooled by a Arctic Liquid II 360 AIO, it sits at 4.9GHz (no overclock) all core with no problems.

It's a fine CPU, gets the job done for me. But there are way to many amazing CPU's on the market to go with an older CPU like this unless you're paying rock bottom prices.

Brought this to replace my 9900K which needs to be RMA'd. It is perfect if all you wanna do is game as it is matching or a couple frames lower than a 9900K. The only downside is the price. I paid $320 for no graphics but I have a 2080 Ti for that. Would recommend if you don't need more threads or core for rendering, streaming etc.

Performs great, kicks butt at every triple A game I can throw at it. My previous i5 9400F was bottlenecking my AMD Vega 56 in games like Halo Infinite and Destiny 2 and now with this i7 my GPU can finally perform at its best in those cpu intensive games.

I ordered this Intel Core i7-9700KF for my new built old model motherboard due to the Win 7 still support it. It's for my game PC and mild OC on it. So far I'm happy with it.
