Matlow's Licorice Hard Kosher Candy (5.5 Lb.)

If you love black licorice you are going to love these! The flavor is spot on and I appreciate a licorice that isn’t always a gummy. These are fabulous.

I love these delicious licorice hard candies. Matlows are the best. However, I found out that if you live in an area with any humidity that you need to take them out of the package and put them in an airtight container. If not then the candy will get tacky and stick to the wrapper.

I am absolutely addicted to these licorice hard candies. They're not too sweet and have just the right amount of licorice flavor. They can cost as much as $16.00 a lb. if not more elsewhere so although this seems to be spendy, it really is a great price . I have to limit myself to 4 a day but I could probably eat much more.They were a favorite of my grandmother, my father and still is a favorite of mine. If you love black licorice but don't like they chewy candy, these might be perfect for you.

I am quite impressed with this candy. Its texture is smooth, and stays smooth until dissolved... meaning, it doesn't splinter or have air pockets that make rough edges causing you to cut your tongue or cheek. The flavor is perfect. These are my favorite black licorice hard candy so far. It is a large amount...5lbs... so I put some in a small container for daily use, and the remainder in my salad drawer in the refrigerator so they wouldn't get sticky on the wrappers. I will most definitely buy these again!!
