Works and greatly improved 2000 Camaro V6, a must have for easy performance upgrades.
Makes the 4l60e no longer a slush box, no more annoying 3-4 up shift down shift jazz. Also added a fair amount of power when paired with a cold air intake. I set rev limiter @6000 and put the shift points up, has greatly improved acceleration and drivability. Firm crisp hard shifts make it more fun also. Easy internet updates and programming. The price is a little bit strong but is worth it for the good that it does. If you shake it in your hand it does rattle a-lot, seems a little bit concerning about the build quality.

Does not change anything worthwhile, ABS lights on after tire size change
Flashed the tune and changed tire size. ABS light immediately came on. Looked up code, C0238, wheel speed mismatch. This is a known issue to changing tire size to a certain point apparently. Looked into the tune with HP Tuners and it shows that the tire size is set at 18.77". It also does not change ANY fuel or timing tables, but changes trans shift points (at least in my application). Tried to flash the tune back to stock to return the unit and it failed to flash back repeatedly. I don't know if I got a faulty unit or not, but luckily I had the stock tune backed up in HP Tuners and was able to restore it through that. Returned the unit.

Easy To Use
I like the programmer. Took awhile to figure it out. Recommend watching the online video and reading the installation instructions that come with it. I installed all three performance level and like Stage 2 the best. That seems to work the best with the stock setup on my 2005 GMC Sierra 2500HD with Duramax Diesel and slightly oversized tires. Planning to replace the Intake runner to the manifold and the air inlet to the turbo and see how that works with the Stage 2 programming. I've loaded Stage 3 and notice significant black smoke on acceleration with my current setup. Hopefully the air flow improvements and blocking the EGR ports will clear that up and improve mileage. The unit will correct speedometer errors as a result of moving up to larger tires. Took me awhile to get that figured out but it works. Now only have a 1 MPH error at 70 MPH instead of 5 MPH error with stock tires. I can live with that.

Works For Me.
Item does require a download and an update, I had no trouble installing and running the update with Windows 10. Once the device is updated on via the USB port on a computer, just plug it into the OBD II port on the vehicle and follow the instructions on the LCD screen on the Hypertech device. I decided I did not like changing the shift firmness on the transmission, as it did not seem to shift any faster, just with a pause and more lurch. So I left the shift firmness and the transmission shift points as stock. All of the other options are either in use now, and could be needed later for me. I have mine set for Regular Fuel for now, On my next fill up I will try the Premium option. One option that was not included, and would be nice is if you could slightly raise RPM idle. My car is a 2002 Camaro Rally Sport with the 3800 Series II V6. The only mods from stock on my car are a K&N fresh air filter that mounts just under the front of the hood (in front of the radiator). Cat Delete, and exhaust is flowing through both exhaust tips. (Believe it or not Chevrolet blocks off the passenger side exhaust tip) If you have a 2002 Camaro RS look up into the passenger side exhaust tip with a flashlight and you will see it is blocked off. If you remove the plate and open it up the car is much louder and raspier, I added unrestricted baffles where the tips attach to get the sound I desired.

Gave my 2004.5 Sierra 2500 HD (LLY) a new lease on life
When I bought my Sierra, it already had a tune on it, but it smoked a lot which drove me crazy. Unfortunately the tuner had been stolen so I wasn't able to alter its settings or put the truck back to stock. I took the truck to a diesel shop, where they were able to flash the computer back to factory tune, and then I used this Hypertech tuner to put a new tune on it. Level 1 eliminated the smoke and felt like about the same power I was used to, and fuel economy improved noticeable. Level 2 was even better -- more power AND better fuel economy than level 1. I can still get the truck to smoke if I put the pedal to the floor, but under normal acceleration it does not smoke anymore. Very pleased with this tuner.

Only calibrates up to 34" tires and lowered my gas mileage.
Extremely disappointed in this. I recently lifted my Tahoe, changed the gearing and put 35" tires on it. I purchased this to calibrate the speedometer. After reading the reviews, I thought I would purchase this model instead of Hypertech's cheaper unit because this one supposedly increased gas mileage. First off, it only calibrates up to 35" tires, at freeway speeds, my speedo is still about 5 mph off (comparing against two different gps units). For over $300 I expect it to be right on. Secondly, it claims to be able to increase power and fuel economy (which seemed to good to be true) however after running it for 30 days, I actually averaged about 1/2 mpg less and did not notice any power gains. I averaged 4 my mpg's over 4 tanks of gas with the power setting and 4 tanks without in the month I had it. I am returning this one and looking for a different option to calibrate my speedo. I gave it 2 stars because it helped calibrate the speedo but still didn't get it very close to where it needs to be.

Works as intended ...... but
Kind of disappointed. After reading other reviews and doing some research I was hoping for more. But the unit I have hasn't been updated in forever. Using it for 99 Blazer 4x4, it did help with a little more power and less delay. Gained a couple more mpg and some HP. Did use for shift points. I only have a drop-in high flow filter and magnaflow exhaust but after installing power tune noticed a considerable difference in acceleration and smoother idle. Was really hoping for a better octane profile but not available for my year, which is weird. Probably because I have the spider fuel lines in the intake manifold, I would assume. My battery drops considerably during tuning so had to make sure I had a fully charged battery to start time with the battery charger still attached. Otherwise you will get a low battery error. Jumper cables might work also to another car but I didn't try that.

Very pleasantly surprised
Just installed my new Hypertech Max Energy in my 2005 Silverado z71 extended cab with the 5.3. Installation was very easy. I did review the instructions online prior to installing. I got en error to start off but the fix was to just unplug and plug the programmer back in per the instructions on the screen. I added the following tuning. I did the extreme regular unleaded tune. Raised my rev limiter to 5,800. Changed my tire size to 32.25 to match my new BFGs. Changed the 1-2 shift up 100 rpm, changed the 2-3 shift up 500 rpm, ( the stock shift point for the 2-3 was 5,000 which was way too low as it dropped the revs down too far out of the power band after the shift) and I changed the 3-4 up 100 rpm. I chose to firm up the shifts to the 75% level. I also raised my top speed to 106 mph. I left the cooling fan cut on at the same temperature. Now it's hard to quantify how much power this makes but it definitely is more. Also the shift points make a huge difference in how the truck accelerates. The shifts just happen at a better time and they are quicker and more positive feeling. The truck easily reaches the new top speed, surprisingly easy! I did install a Flowmaster supertruck style cat back exhaust about a month ago so I don't know how much these two work together but wheel spin will happen if I don't take it easy. I did a quick errand run on a freeway trip and got 15.5 MPG running at or near 100 almost the entire time. which is about 2 mpg better than before. But obviously that is too short a distance to be very scientific or accurate but it's what I got. The one negative I can think of after this short time with the programmer is the top speed limiter kicks in very hard, almost feels like I stabbed the brakes. For $290ish dollars this added a lot of fun to my old Chevy. Will tow 6,000 pounds with it this weekend. I will update if anything negative comes up.

Easy to use.
You have to download the program with a computer, then installing it in the vehicle is easy. Slightly more torque, and better shift points in the transmission make the vehicle more fun to drive. Worth it.

Good Product
Have not used yet but have previous experience with Hypertech with good results. Sold truck before installing.
