HovaBator Genesis 1588 Advanced Egg Incubator Combo Kit

This is day 7 for quail egg incubation. So far this incubator has read accurately for temp and humidity. Eggs appear to be turning fine with the egg turner that came with it. UPDATE: Successful hatch rate of 75%. Incubator worked perfectly for the duration. I would recommend it!

I love this incubator! Very easy to calibrate the temperature and humidity.The instructions are very clear and easy to understand.The turner is amazing! No need to fiddle with it before hatching day, just turn it off and leave the eggs alone.First batch - 10 ducks and 10 turkeys all hatched together.

I like the constant temperature holding at the setting. I dislike having to remove the top to add water for humidity.The incubator performed great for me and had a good hatching rate.

So far I have yet to find an incubator that performs to my expectations, but this one has the definite advantage of temperature control. If you have tried to raise chicks from eggs without that feature, you know how hit-and-miss that is. I prefer to cook my chickens on purpose. I have only used it once and the result was disappointing, but not the fault of the incubator. Today I am expecting anothr batch, and this time I am more savvy on how to inspect the eggs as soon as they arrive. I was disappointed that this incubator had no plastic outer casing as others do--it is all styrofoam--but in the long run, it doesn't really matter.The seal from top to bottom is excellent, the hatching area is easily viewed, and unlike some others, the wiring to the readout is not locate so as to possibly damage the eggs beneath.

Awesome product. I am on my third batch of incubated eggs and this incubator will be a keeper I am sure. First batch was chickens, second was guinea fowl and third is peafowl! Easy to use and clean. Other incubators crapped out after one year with either humidity or temperature fails so I decided to upgrade and have not been dissapointed. I will rerate in one year to see how durable it is!

I ordered two of these and had them going about 48 hours before I was ready to use them. 6 hours after putting 60 quail eggs in one I am getting a fan failure alarm and cannot get it to stop. They the instructions they provide says you can go to still air mode when this happens by turning holding the on/off switch until it says fan off. Only problem is there is not an an/off switch. This is unacceptable for a brand new out of the box incubator. I have no issues using the still air mode until I can get a replacement unit, but there is no way to turn this loud alarm off until then. No happy one bit.

After two duckings hatched and 5 days had passed, my hens seemed to have abandoned the nest, I could still see that the eggs were still viable. I took the rest of the eggs and moved them to the incubator, after about 4 days they started hatching over a total of 10 days in the incubator. 11 out of 12 eggs ended up hatching.worth the money

Excellent product! I'm really glad I bought this! I've had baby quail before but purchased them from other people. I was a little intimidated in hatching my own because I know it's a complicated process. This machine has been amazing. I set it up and put water in the reservior like twice a week. I did a small test batch to see if it would work (including a few refrigerated eggs) and they hatched a day early on the 15th day!! 6 put of 10 hatched, and 3 are moving around. Not bad for my first time! I def recommended this product!
