Works perfectly
Great piece of equipment and cheaper than a lot of the others on the market. After reading reviews for other door closers I was put off by the difficulties people were having with the installation process. This one seemed to be a good option in terms of simplicity and price. It is very easy to install and works perfectly as others have mentioned it does mark the door a little as the metal plate is just a wee bit too short and it runs off it as you close the door. I screwed it in to the door at the very edge of the bar to try and avoid it but it doesn't make any difference. It probably needs to be 60% longer. Overall for the ease of fitting and price I'd buy it again and would recommend it.

Works well, with provisos
Bought this to avoid getting up to close lounge door every time cat barged into the room.Very easy to fit provided you have a flat-ish door surround to mount it on.Despite some comments in difficulty, I found it very simple and easy to adjust closing force. One proviso on fitting the unit is that if itโs fitted close to the hinge line and closing arm is in its โoffโ position, there is interference with how wide an angle the door can open. Max is around 100-110 degrees, i.e. a bit past right angles. If you have a wide surround you could increase the angle by fitting the unit further from the hinge line, but the closing force will be compromised. Also the โon doorโ fitting for protecting the door from contact with the closing arm looks difficult to set and still get the mechanism to work. Or maybe I just didnโt work out how bet to use. Instead, I stuck a strip of plastic into the door for the end of the arm to run against, like several other reviewers. This works fine.Just be aware of these points aware before purchasing, but I see none as a deal breaker.

Nice little unit.
The product was ready to use straight out of the box and seems pretty secure with the screws provided. Adjustment to get just the right tension was a little awkward and I ended up using an allan bit in a screwdriver handle to provide enough downward push on the spring barrel. Very easy to lift the arm out of the way when you don't want the door to close.

Works fine. Just be aware of damage to doors.
The closer is fine. Good price and it works as expected.Just be aware that the supplied screws are very poor quality. The screw head scuffs very easily. One of my screw heads broke off while screwing it in - leaving the core of the screw in the door which I can't remove . Try to get 5 good quality flat head screws to replace the ones supplied. The main issue people should be aware about is that the product will damage your door slightly. The end of the bar will cut into the door when opened fully. You can even see examples in the product's own images (I've attached their own screenshots here). To be fair I think this is a common problem with these particular types of closers. I had to stick on some hard plastic on the door in this area to reduce damage - its not really a long term solution though. So long as you are aware of this but don't care - you should buy this.

Perfect for us.
Easy to fit and adjust, used to automatically close an internal door to keep the heat in, but can be adjusted to a light setting so the cats can still open it an come and go.

Great product.
I was sick of yelling at the kids the shut the living room door. Should of bought this years ago. Very Sturdy. The arm can be pointed down so the door can stay open when wanted. Great product.

Good door closer. Useless screws.
The door closer itself is good for gently closing a light to medium weight door. However bin the screws that are supplied with it. They are of the poorest quality I have ever tried to use. The head on the first one I tried to use had disintegrated before it was halfway screwed in (carefully using a hand screwdriver) so that I could neither finish screwing it in or remove it. I ended up having to remove it with pliers and using instead a larger screw of decent quality. Needless to say the remaining supplied screws went in the bin. I have since bought a second door closer as it is fine. I started by binning the screws supplied as they are worse than useless. Pity a useful product which itself seems to be of good enough quality is let down by supplying such poor quality screws. They just crumble. Not sure what on Earth they could be made of!

Work fine straight out of the box
Well spent 2 days figuring out which 'door closer' to buy. Having read enough reviews readied myself with a selection of new screws etc. No need to panic this was easy to set up straight out of the box. The leaflet/instructions were self-explanatory, all that was needed. The spring was even set fine for my door. 21kg 760mm wide wooden with glass since you asked. So now I will see how long it lasts but very pleased with it, so far. Used some self adhesive door draft excluder found in the garage to deaden the noise of the door closing.Mike
