I do not climb so cannot speak to that application. For my purposes, they have been more than strong enough, and perfectly suited to the task.

I got these for strapping stuff down in the back of my truck they work really good very secure good durability good fit they would be good for climbing and very good secure attachment that was one of the reasons why I got it for the weight limit.

i have been using these for everything from holding my grigri to my asenders, they work great. sometimes they get a little hard to unscrew but i am ok with that.

I have climbed with this a few times as a belay carabiner and at the top of lead climbs with quickdraws. They worked fine as a belaying carabiner but are pretty bulky and have a tight spring to clip into on lead. Curiosity got the best of me when i started to research if it had an UIAA rating to go with the EN12275 rating and i couldnt find one for this specific model. I put one on a tensile test machine and it broke at 25.8kN. The screwgate broke first after yielding about 1/4", as expected, so now i have a nice key chain once it was pushed back into shape. In the end its a nice carabiner for hauling gear, as backup to have in a pinch, or you arent planning on getting too far off the ground. I still prefer my Black Diamond carabiners which are lighter weight and open easier but slightly more expensive.

Let me be clear, I don't need a carabiner that holds 5,000lbs, 500lbs, or even 5lbs. I bought these to put on my water bottle. So while I'm sure they have kept many climbers alive, I don't have any kind of dramatic life-saving stories to share. I will just say that these carabiners are an absolute thing of beauty! They feel incredible in hand, are immensely satisfy to play with, and the blue/red/gold color combination is stunning in person. If you have 1% interest in fidget sorts of things, get a pair of these. Truly a beautiful product!

For my "light duty' application----this item is perfect. However, it does seem sturdy and strong for it's intended purpose.

Great for just hanging around or safety while putting up new barn-tin. As long as your belayer doesn't let you down~! Arrived on time and packaged to prevent dings n things. Fair price for Peace of mind.

Had these a while now, though I've not used them for a hammock or put any weight on them, they are good for hanging stuff off your pack and I also use one for clamping my tent poles together so it's easier to pitch, overall not bad.
