Extend Bar, Chocolate & Caramel, 1.48 oz. Bars (Pack of 15)

Now that I’ve tried all three flavors from my variety pack - rich chocolate, peanut butter, and peanut butter with chocolate- I can say these are worth it. A tad on the expensive side but I’m not sure I’ve seen another product with the uncooked cornstarch. I have hypoglycemia and my overnight lows are rough. These do seem to level it out quite a bit. I’m seeing far fewer incidents. The flavors are of course going to be very subjective, but I found the peanut butter was great. Moist, tasty, and just spot on. The rich chocolate was dry and the taste just wasn’t great for me, but I’m still going to eat them so it obviously isn’t that bad. Maybe that was just a less fresh set. The peanut butter and chocolate were really good too. The peanut butter is the main taste and the chocolate is a nice touch. I’ll probably just order the peanut butter flavor when I run out, but I’m very happy I found these.

Pretty good taste for a sugar free "Rich Chocolate" snack bar with low fat (2.5gms) and manageable carbs (19gms) of which 6gms are fiber and 12 gms of protein for this bar. Other flavors have similarish nutrition but also different taste.

These have greatly helped my husband combat Dawn Phenomenon--which in diabetics is a significant spike in blood sugar that occurs overnight, when the liver releases stored sugar, as it does in some people, apparently mistaking a fast while sleeping as a period of starvation. My husband's blood sugar numbers had been consistently in normal range from the time he ate breakfast until the time he'd gone to bed, but upon waking every morning had been much higher than they should have been, and wouldn't start dropping into a normal range until he'd eaten a high protein breakfast. Now, when consuming one of these bars right before going to bed, his blood sugar remains at a good level and does not spike higher than it should overnight. The stress hormone Cortisol plays a role in triggering blood sugar spikes while sleeping also, so he takes a Holy Basil capsule or two, to keep his Cortisol in check, too. This combination has worked wonders to help him control his blood sugar. He often takes 2 Tablespoons of organic apple cider vinegar in a full glas of water in the evening to help counter any carbs in his evening meal, and puts cinnamon in a cup of green tea in the evening. He'd previously been on the type 2 diabetes medicine of time-released Glipizide, which had caused him to gain more than 30 lbs., even though his routine diet had been a consistently low-carb one, and he'd experienced almost nonstop blood sugar spikes and crashes the entire time he'd been taking it. Since going off the diabetes medicine several weeks ago, however, he's already lost almost 25 lbs of the weight he'd gained while taking Glipizide, and his blood sugar levels have improved dramatically! These Extend Bars had resolved the final missing link of keeping his blood sugar at a normal level overnight, so it would no longer spike while he was asleep and be elevated until he had breakfast. Great product! It works! If you are looking for a super-tasty high protein candy bar or meal replacement bar, you may want to look for something else, but if you're a diabetic having concerns about either high blood sugar spikes or hypoglycemic blood sugar crashes while sleeping, I would definitely recommend giving these a try!

I like the taste of the protein bars themself. I’m writing a review mainly to inform potential buyers that if you get the variety pack of 4 different flavors it will not be what you get. The chocolate flavor will be missing. I’ve ordered it twice now and the same thing has happened both times. The bars themself taste good though.

I'm always leery about new sugar free products. When they arrived I just had to taste these bars. Delicious. I like a sweet treat once in awhile but have to watch sugar intake. I ordered the chocolate peanut butter. Tasty. But I'm hoping they will get the chocolate caramel in. I will be purchasing these again.

Product not as described. What I recieved had higher calories and different nutrition information. I didnt realize this until after I ate it and looked at the wrapper. This shouldnt be marketed to anyone with a restricted diet. Amazon should pull this down until the manufacturer can accurately describe the product.

These are a perfect meal replacement with a low sugar content and minimal impact on my blood sugar. Excellent for snacks or meals on the go. Great flavors and variety to choose from

These are wonderful bars! I am a Type 2 diabetic and it helps control my hunger. I can eat one and I am not hungry for quite awhile! Great for lunch. You won't be hungry all afternoon. Please try it!

Oltre al gusto squisito del nocciolato, si aggiunge quello altrettanto squisito del cioccolato, e quel che più conta è una barretta a basso indice glicemico, quindi adatta ai diabetici
