How do you store your 5lb loaf after slice? in large ziploc? leave on couter? refrigerator? cake box? read it stays good for weeks?

We usually cut it in 6 pieces and put each in a plastic bag (not even zip lock just regular ones). The ones we do not use right away go in a freezer, had them like that for 1-2 months and still good. Just remember to take them out of freezer about 24 hours before use and just keep them in refrigerator. Once you transfer from freezer to refrigerator you may want to change the bag after it defrosts as it will have some condensation. ps. we usually slice the bread right before eating and the slices are very thin (as thin as you can get them) definitely not the thickness of typical bread in US
