It works, nice color, and sufficiently bright.
Finally an LED that just works. All the other cheap made in china crap all over amazon just suck. Trust me, I went through a couple of them; as they burn out within days to months.I just got this, so if I haven't updated this review, then that means it's still going strong. It's not even close to being as hot as the others. Compared to all the cheap crap you see, this one is solidly built, and not made in China where they have no regulations. It's made in a much more reliable, and responsible manufacturing plant in Taiwan.Oh, and if you're looking for one of those CANBUS LED's don't bother. None of them work reliably at all. Best way is to just get this, and install a load resistor enclosed in a heatsink in series to get rid of your bulb-out errors. (15-30ohms, depending on what your bulb you're replacing draws; and/or what load your car's CANbus is expecting).

Brightened the car interior
This LED lamp worked great as the dome light in my 2000 Acura. Should last much longer than the stock incandescent lamp that comes with the car. Nice white light.

Nice 6000k light, but check your application first
Amazon says this bulb fits the dome lamp in my 2012 Hyundai Tucson - No. The dome lamp is about 30mm and this bulb is 38mm, with a heat-sink. It does fit the package compartment light, a bit of a squeeze with the heat-sink, but provides superior illumination with a lower current draw. I found replacements for the map lights and dome light and am pleased with the 6000k interior illumination color and brilliance. The lamps fade the same as incandescent bulbs.

About the same brightness as the incandescent it was replacing
The length was correct, but it appears the bulb was incorrect for that socket that meant this light didn't really fit well (neither did the original, which I wasn't aware of). This is my issue and not a problem with the product -- I did measure, but was working from bad information. The light is probably the same brightness as the lamp it was replacing. As such, this was not enough. I was able to replace with a 42mm "extremely bright" model from another vendor that worked much better for my needs

Used for SoundOff police dome light
The stock bulb that came in this dome light was embarrassingly dim, so after switching it out with this bulb, the interior of the vehicle is lit up much more effectively. I would say this bulb provides about 50% more light than the stock bulb, which is great news! This is the second time I purchased this bulb, so I will keep replacing the stock ones with this one time and time again. :)

Better than cheap brands
It's been just a little over a month and by far they have worked great. Nice color, bright output, a bit expensive but worth it

Buy the Sylvania verions, you will be much happier.
A few months back i bought the Sylvania LED bulbs for my MK4 Jetta interior. These worked great. However the trunk area of my wagon was always a bit dim (even with the stock incandescents). I bought these to see if they were any brighter. The first bulb I bought was DOA, the second bulb was working intermittently (would go form bright to dim). I try to buy quality items name brand products, and was truly disappointed by these. It is possible that these bulbs don't like the the dimming and auto delay of most late model cars, and will work fine in older cars with mechanical switches, but i would stay with Sylvania bulbs for the same price.

Not worth it in any way
I was so looking forward to installing these as license plate lights in my 2012 MINI Cooper S Coupe. I read reviews of other bulbs and the issues people had with them...the Philips looked like the way to go. Here's my experience:1. Despite Amazon saying these fit my vehicle, they didn't. The socket was too loose which caused the heavier heatsink side to rotate down and the light illuminated up into the socket, not down on the license plate. I had to bend each socket to get the bulb to stay in place and they are tenuous at best. I think a good bump or two in the road and these are going to be illuminating the socket again.2. The light is a perfect color but if it's not going to illuminate the plate, what's the point.3. They give a "bulb out" error in the dash. What is the point of new bulbs if they give the error? I know it is because they are LEDs but they are not CANBUS error free. Pain in the @$$!4. These are not cheap compared to other LED bulbs out there. I expected way more from a name brand like Philips. These will be coming out tomorrow and returned to Amazon. Such a disappointment.
