This tool saves me alot on shipping cost, the wheel score at the other end really helps reducing the box size, highly recommend.

I ship items and this is a good tool to have. Sometimes you find a box for shipping but maybe it's too tall. You don't want to have to fill up all that empty space plus the bigger the box, the more expensive to ship. This tool just makes it easier to cut down a box to the right size. I also sometimes make my own boxes from larger pieces of cardboard and this helps with scoring the flaps so they're easier to fold over.

I didn't even know this was a thing until an employee at the UPS Store used a similar device to resize a box and save me some money on shipping. As most of us know, shipping costs now are as dependent on box volume as they are on weight, and you can save a bundle by using this little knife to reduce the size of a package you're shipping. This particular design is handy because you've got two tools in one -- both retractable: the perforating tool on one end and a traditional box-cutter blade on the other. Can't always tell from the photos, but the case is not plastic, it is metal. The tool is hefty, coming in at 175 g (6.2 oz) and feels solid. I tested out the scoring wheel on some cardboard, and it totally works. The cardboard folds at the perforated line. I have tried resizing boxes and definitely had trouble getting a clean fold in a new spot. It is great to have a tool built to address this.
