I love this product. In the past, I used matte paste with all kinds of toxic ingredients because I thought those products were the only ones that could placate my wavy hair. But I kept looking high and low for a non toxic option that would still tame my hair and not make it more wavy. Then I found Garnier Fructis. It is non toxic and it provides the control I need. I apply it on my towel dried hair, style the hair, and don’t touch it until it dries. The result is well behaved, styled hair without any nasty chemicals. It doesn’t provide the hold that the toxic paste did, but who need toxic hold when you can have healthy, well styled hair!

This Is The Best Finishing Paste! You only need a little bit. It smooths out what needs to be smoothed out. It leaves your hair looking natural. It's not greasy and has a pleasant aroma.

I'm trying grow out my bangs and was searching for a product to get me through the awkward stage. Just a little dab at the roots holds my bangs to the side. They're too long to let hang down, but too short to stay back on their own. This product works. I've used several hair products in this line and they all deliver. And can't beat the $6 price. Not greasy and smells good too. I may not succeed at growing out my bangs, but feel I will still use this product to add a little lift where needed.

WOW WOW WOW!!! This stuff is great for my short Auburn Semi-Pixie!! Perfect consistency for holding hair in place and adding extra for some areas does not cause a buildup. There also is no remaining buildup the next day so having to shampoo too often doesn't happen. I am ordering 3 more for office, purse, car, etc. It is SOOO Reasonably Priced! Smells nice and does the job. And you can also do some finger styling especially for short hair! I have tried a dozen different brands and this is my go-to from now on. It smells so nice, but is subtle, and doesn't leave sticky hands after use. I LOVE IT!!

I've just purchased this for the 15th time! So yeah, you cannot beat the price and quality. I got all my hair cut off around 2019 and started using this. You can leave it for a wet look or let it dry and go messy.

I purchased Garnier Fructis' Style Pure Clean Finishing Paste for Hair based upon the rave reviews, but found on my hair, this product was ineffective. Over the last year, I have stopped coloring my hair and let my natural silver highlights take over the top of my head. My hair is healthier; softer, shinier and has more body since I stopped coloring it and well-hydrated thanks to another Garnier Fructis conditioning product. The reason I wanted to use this product as I wanted to get a paste to piece out parts of my hair to frame my face, without too much stickiness. Upon opening the jar of this paste I was pleasantly surprised that there was no overpowering odor. Very subtle and light, which was great. The product is somewhat slimy for lack of a better way to describe it, but it's also very solid in the packaging, so getting some to emulsify in my hand was a little bit tough. The product does not feel sticky and it did not make my hair look greasy, which I liked. The problem is, it really didn't hold my hair as expected. It's really ideal for keeping fly-aways in place, so maybe if your hair is thin and tends to be highly charged with static or is frizzy, this might be for you? My expectations for this product were not met, but I will continue to try to use it in different ways to see if maybe it's "user error" in some way and update this review if needed. I think your hair's condition, the weather, and your expectations will all come into play as to whether or not this product works for you.

I have used this for years. It started to get hard to find. My hair is wavy and soft. After drying , I apply to my long hair, and it stays in place. Gives it some substance . I also will straight iron after applying at times. Great product for the price!

i like this stuff! I have thinning ,baby fine hair, and it does not weigh it down like most paste. No odor, and the price is right.

No residue, doesn't cause dandruff or buildup, holds without stiffening hair, non oily or shiny! I have used it for almost a decade and can't imagine using anything else.

Very light and gentle on your hair

I have afro hair and use this to retwist my hair midweek if I want a clean feel with no extra oil or crunch. It's like you added no product to your hair but you get the hold and softness you need. Very impressive.
