Very nice item. Along with the lights and some low-voltage wire, we love it
Kitchen remodel project with new cabinets. They work beautifully. We love how they turn off slowly (not that slow, but not instantly) and it's great to be able to adjust the brightness to whatever level is appropriate. The lighting really shows the countertops off beautifully. We have one of these controlling a section of LEDs that is about 5' long and another controlling the main section, which runs for the equivalent of about 10' of lights and about maybe 12' of low-voltage wire connecting up three cabinet groups. Nobody else that I know of has noticed this, but if you compare the brightness of the two "strings" when they are all the way up, the longer section is not quite as bright as the short section since it's powering such a longer string, but they are on opposite sides of the room and this is not an issue.Bought these and 32' of LED light strip along with some low-voltage wire. Also picked up a cheap soldering iron ($10) and did this job myself. The remodeling company wanted $1800 for the job, but since I have done electrical wiring many times before, I took this part for myself after the new cabinets were installed and before they did the backsplash and sheet rock and painting. Total cost for me was just about $330 and I have the satisfaction that I accomplished it myself. Check local code, but likely states that you can't put these in same box next to a 120V switch or outlet. Was told that the current of the other circuit could "jump over" and burn the low voltage circuitry out, but was also told that if you DO put in same box, you should put some sort of barrier/separator in between the two switches.Having under-cabinet LEDs is so worth the money as it looks great and it's quite helpful. These switches make it a "finished job" and the convenience of these as opposed to having to plug in when needed and unplug when done is, for me, very much worth it. Love the fact that the HitLight company is USA-owned also.

Unique product that solves a key problem with LED install, but runs very hot
Having the dimmer and driver in the same unit allows LED installs where they would otherwise not be possible or very difficult. However, LED drivers tend to run hot (and thus LED is not quite as efficient we want to believe) and this one is no exception. The downside of this one is it is trapped in a small box so the heat is far more problematic than if your driver was in an open attic. As a result you need to keep the capacity at under 40%. So the 100 watt unit can only really power no more than 40 watts of lights. In my case I have 80 watts of lights and keep the dimmer at 50%.In spite of this major drawback, it was still a better solutions than any other I had so I bought a second one of these and added more strip light to make up for the lower light level than I anticipated. So in summary, if you can get a traditional driver into a well ventilated (or lat least large volume) space and powered, and you can run the lovo wires to the dimmer and LED, then do that. If you just can't do that, but you can get lovo wires from a switch box to the LED strip, and you don't need to drive much wattage, then this unit is a solution.

Compact
Switchex is a powerful and compact solution to the transformer application. You no longer have to have a transformer between the dimmer and the lights since Switchex acts as an all in one solution. It’s a little pricey at $140-160, but the transformer application will already have you buying a $70 transformer and a Lutron 300P ELV dimmer at $80, so costs just as much.Haptic feel: Button on the bottom acts as on on-off switch. Button is springy and goes in and out to activate. This isn’t a flip switch. Doesn’t feel cheap. Button activates a little plastic click when pushed in. Dimmer tab is very smooth to operate.Use: Lights turn on instantly when activated. Turning off the lights is different. When the button is pushed in to turn off, lights remain activated for 1 second. The strip lights don’t instantly turn off but rather graduate to off by dimming down to off over the course of another second. It’s pretty nice actually because it’s a gentle off powering transition from lit to off.Overall, I am very pleased, and I hope it will hold up. The 5 year warranty delivers peace of mind.Pictures will be coming soon. Switchex was paired with waterproof Hitlights. Lights were placed in a hidden cove in the shower to light-wash the tiled wall.

Perfect for under cabinet lightling
While remodeling the kitchen, decided to add under cabinet LED light, this dimmer is perfect for this. It doesn't require additional driver and can be installed in a single gang switch box. Pay attention to the wattage of your lights, as this dimmer can handle upto 60W total, so if you have more light you might need the next step up.

Great dimmer and simple one press on.
Easy install but it uses much of the space in the box.

Dimmable driver for LED strip lights
The HitLight team was very helpful identifying the electrical components I needed for my installation. This was one and there was another that needed more amps. But this one did the job. Two things though. the electrical connection from the switch is not a plug in but requires wire nuts or soldering and a sleeve or a crimp connector. A plug would have been nice. The other thing is that the voltage range controlling the lights could have a broader range allowing the lights to dim more. Overall the switch / controller does the job and fits into a standard wall box containing both line voltage and low voltage. Good idea.

Good solution
I initially had issues where the LED strip did not turn on but HitLights support sent me a replacement. The new switch worked perfect right out of the box. Tested with both regular and COB LED strips.

Great dimmer
I am electrician and hate to carry unnecessary stock. These dimmers, having the interchangeable face plates, take the place of 3 stock items providing valuable space for additional stock items on the van. In addition, I have used these on LED and incandescent fixtures and they provided dimming to about 10% of the light source. Another plus is that I haven't had one of these units fail which provides additional value to me and my customers.
