Omnipod Adhesive Patch with Strap (25-Pack) – Waterproof Adhesive, CGM Tape (Blue)

It is very hot and humid in Mississippi during the summer. These adhesive patches keep my Omnipod insulin pump attached to me through sweat, rain and water. They aren't too bad to remove and seem to find the balance of keeping my pod attached and not damaging my skin. They do pull hair but this can't be avoided.

So, I have severe ADHD among other things that can make me forgetful. This most recent pod change I had apparently forgotten to take the covers off the sticky side of my omnipod before placing it. Note: I place the over-patch on the pod before putting the pod on my skin. For the full 48hrs I am prescribed to use a pod, this over-patch With no help from the pod adhesive, while I was deeply active and moving house in the summer heat Kept my pod not only in place, but WORKING PERFECTLY not a leak nothing. I've got an irritation bump the size of a large spider bite, and the spot is itchy as all hell, but that is most definitely user error on my part. I doubt it would work this way on every placement, but in this instance it absolutely save my rear!

If you sweat a lot and always struggle keeping your omnipod stuck to your body, this is a great choice. They fit really well around the pod and it's almost like a skin graft once stuck to your body. 4 stars and not 5 because of the size of them and the inclination to twist and stick to itself when applying to the body. They stick so well that you need a skin safe adhesive remover to get them off without irritating the skin too much. Side note: if you are hairy where you place your omnipod, I would recommend shaving the area. These suckers, even with the adhesive remover, will rip those hairs out and cause unneeded pain and suffering!

My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 just this past summer and we've been doing the rounds of patches and adhesive helpers, goo removers trying to find what works for her. She's a varsity volleyball player and has practice and/or a game almost every day, so adhesion quality and durability are the most important factors for her. She's had Omnipods yanked off, fallen off, and insurance is not so willing to replace them because of sports or accidents. With these patches, she's finally been able to go the full 3 days with the Omnipod in place, with no errors, and her trainers do not have to do extra wrapping with sports tape during the games anymore. She does use a band-like cover just to keep it stable with all the jumping and diving but these have worked great. She says they hurt a little coming off because the adhesive is so strong, but she prefers that to those that sweat off or don't support the weight of the Omnipod at all. She also suggests being prepared to use an extra or two while you're learning how to put them on. She doesn't cut the band across the middle, she sticks the band on first and stretches the rest of the patch around the Omnipod. She also uses a silicon pod cover that she says helps it feel secure. Anyway, great product, she recommends 100 percent after all the trials and tribulations! Her only wish? That they came in a black option. We can't find that option anywhere.

I like the color and the stretchy fabric. A little difficult to tear out the backing but so is the original Omni pod ones. If you tear out the middle I found it is easier to apply than the company ones and they stick excellent and secure the omni pod with a middle strip as well that the company ones don't have. Being a Carpenter by trade I work and bend and sweat a lot cutting wood and applying it during projects, these patches will help me keep the omni pod secure and in my skin for the duration of the 3 days required.

Trying to remove these patches is work. They work well but sometime are hard to fit around the pod. We had to cut the middle part out of a few of them because they pulled the skin to much. My biggest issue with these is removing the adhesive from my sons skin. It sticks on really thick after removal and then it clumps up into sticky balls that get stuck to everything. I don’t think we will be getting these again after our supply has run out. To much hassle trying to clean them up on a 2yr old

These are the patches every diabetic with Omnipod5 should be using to hold up their insulin pump. These are the best eveeeeeer. Loved them the 1st try and already getting more. Just in my favorite color💜 they definitely hold on to your pump as it should. And the best and yet funny thing is it comes with an over the pump I call seatbelt. Hehe 😜 these patches keep your pump from falling off, even in the shower 🚿 they hold up. You can early pass by something, that you feel that might nock your pump off, but no this pump can secure the entire pump onto your skin and won’t let it fall off. Loveeed it

This works well for extended time in water swimming, etc. I applied Skin Prep, Pod, then SIMPATCH. Pod was applied to back of upper arm so I also covered patch with a Lycra like armband by DIABAND. Very pleased.

This is the patch we use to be sure that my athletic teenaged son's Omnipod stays on throughout soccer, basketball, water sports, and any other rigorous activity. We've used lots of other patches but this is the only one we've found with the cross bar. Without the cross bar, my son's pod will pop up in the middle so that the cannula comes out even though the adhesive remains in place. I would give it 5/5 except for the excessive price for what is essentially a bandaid. In short: great product that works well, but vastly overpriced for what it is.
