SHANY Chunky Eyeshadow Pencils Lip Liner, Eyeliner, Eye Pencil, Multi Use Chunky Pencils for Eye Shadow, Lip Makeup, Lipstick with Vitamin E,Aloe Vera - Multi-Colored

I love these! I bought myself a set then when they got here, beautifully pigmented organized in the gorgeous display box, I wanted more for my daughters (so they don't "borrow" mine). Sadly I must have been too greedy because after putting 3 of these & 2 of the thinner eyeliner pencil sets into my cart & a set of 12 other Shany eyeliners that I almost messed up & bought with 1-click but I went back quickly & canceled & put them in my cart instead & the items all had a code to save 25% on 6 Shany products, & lower percents for fewer items. I finally chose all of the items I wanted & the code wasn't working. I tried to checkout 5 or 6 times stopping each time when the code wouldn't work (I've had this happen before then went back an hour later & had the code work so that's what I was expecting to happen). I got sidetracked by one kid then another & 3-4 hours later got back to my order only to find these were no longer in my cart but instead are "saved for later" and not currently for sale along with the other two sets of liner pencils. All I had to do was forget about the 25% off & finish the sale! I come back and check to see if they are back daily. I still hope to pick up some for my girls for Christmas (I always shop early! Helps keep from getting frustrated if things show up late) This set of pencils has 11 labled lip & the other 19 are labled eye pencils but all seem to be the same formula (& some eye colors look more like lip colors to me & some lip colors I've used on my eyes).. The colors go on well, like a soft crayon, & stay on. They blend well when first put on then they stay put. The colors that go on last! I have had issues with the lightest colors (white/platinum) not always showing up on me but that is when I put them on with some of the loose powders I bought from Shany (which I ABSOLUTELY LOVE! ) so maybe those products don't work well together. I ended up staying up late with kids one night & somehow not washing my makeup off until nearly 24hrs after putting it on & it stayed & looked good. I really do like these! I've used them as eyeliner on the waterline. They are great for adding a quick pop of color to your everyday look. Toss a cpl into your purse & use them to put your makeup on in the parking lot just before work if you wake up late & you'll still look beautiful as ever. And the price is crazy amazing! Even without % off specials & such!

I'm far more pleased with these pencil than I expected. Here are a number of quick points based on my use: --Fast and easy application. Good time-saver. --Goes on smoothly with no pulling on lips, minimal pulling on eyelids. --Large range of colors. I wasn't sure that I'd use all the colors, especially the dark ones, but have been pleased with even those on my pale complexion. --Pencils are labeled "eyeshadow" and "lipstick" but are interchangeable. (I've used two of the purple eyeshadows as lipstick so far.) Could also be used as blush. --Pencils are vegan. SHANY is a member of PETA. --Ingredients are sourced from Japan and Korea. (They are assembled into the final product in China, but are not manufactured from scratch there.) --No discernable taste or scent. --Non-irritating (for me, at least). --Fairly long-lasting. Eyeshadows do crease after about half the day, but I have deep-set eyes and have never yet found a crease-free shadow. --Lipstick lasts several hours before reapplication is necessary. Needs reapplication after eating. Non-drying. --Pigmentation is good. Color may not be as saturated as with some brands, but I found it very good for daytime use. --Pencils may be sharpened? (I have *not* had the opportunity to try this out for myself yet, but other reviews indicate this is the case. If they can't be sharpened, that would definitely affect the final point re price since they wouldn't last as long as I would expect.) --Nice case. I'm not sure if I'll keep mine long-term, but it's a more-than-decent case for those who like their cosmetics organized that way. --Price for the set is excellent, a fantastic value.

This is a great makeup set to play with colors and make a statement with. The crayons are marked for eyes or lips but I found you can use any crayon for what ever use you want. I had no problems with the material on my skin. The crayons were a little harsh on my lips so I just added a light lip gloss to keep lips moist. The crayons were easy to use as an eyeliner with no tugging on sensitive eye area. The color on my eyelids stayed most of the day with no re-application. This set would make a great gift for any lady who likes to play with makeup and make a fashion statement. The vast array of colors will go with anyone's coloring and clothing style.

I waited to write my review until I could confirm these sharpen. There seems to be confusion about this. They DO sharpen. The wood for the pencil is just black colored. They did appear to be encased in black plastic but really I think its just dipped in what appeared to be black wax with a black colored wood pencil beneath. This was probably done to help keep it fresh. You just need a jumbo sharpener. After you run the sharpener around it a couple of times, the wax peels off and you see the wood under it. The pencils are wonderful with lots of colors. I have used them as both a lip and eye color. With the lip color you will want to put a clear gloss over the top or you could get dry lips. The lip color lasts far longer than my avon lipsticks do. The eye color lasts all day till I wash it off with soap and water. I wear contact lenses and these pencils do not irritate them. You will want to be gentle with them in application. Dab the color on so you don't break the tips. They are creamy and the color goes on easy.

I'm a makeup artist and had never before heard of Shany products until very recently. I have all kinds of products ranging from super high end to drug store. I came across some Shany items while searching Amazon to replace some of my beauty products and was intrigued by the low prices and positive feedback from other Shany users. I have completely fallen in love with the products I've already purchased. I am now on a mission to own every single Shany product I can get my hands on. I'm floored at the quality and quantity that I've received at such affordable prices. So far, I've purchased the pro brushes kit, 2 eyeshadow palettes, waterproof eye and lip primer, 1 large concealer palette, face primer, 20+ eyeliners, the 30 color chunky eyeshadow and lip pencil set. ALL of which are completely fabulous products. I've done complete bridal parties, as well as photo shoots and other small events and have fallen in love with every single item I've used thus far. I just ordered the kit if 30 lip glosses. Can't wait til they get here! I swear I want 1... okay maybe 2 of everything! Lol! Don't second guess, if your contemplating anything Shany, just buy it. You can't go wrong!

It's just not a good quality product. Lovely colors but no matter how I try to work it it's very hard to get the transfer onto the skin. Very dull if it does manage to get on. I think it's very easily rubbed off. It's nice to have a cheap large set like this when you're starting out, but when it doesn't work it's just a waste of money.

The wear time is terrible. I bought these specifically to act as eyeliner, it clearly says they are multi-use...eyeshadow, liner, lipstick. I applied the white pencil on my water line and it looked great, it was soft, easy to apply. 2 minutes later it was gone. Yeah, this product lasted all of 2 minutes. Maybe I blink too much? I don't know but it was pretty unacceptable. I tried the black next, it lasted maybe 10 minutes. But after about 5 you could see it wearing off and it began to look disgusting. They feel great, they're very creamy, they glide onto the skin really well. BUT, they do not dry properly, they smear easily and they come off easily. Definitely NOT waterproof. Definitely NOT long lasting. You get a great array of colors, they feel nice, work well (though they could be a bit more pigmented) and they come nicely packaged. But what's the point if the color isn't going to last very long on your skin? Maybe better used as eyeshadow or temporary use in costumes or editorials but not for everyday. I guess you get what you pay for because putting it on your lips and water line is going to ensure that you're reapplying every 2 minutes. Ain't nobody got time for that.
