I bought these March 2016, and they have been amazing. They have lasted through snow storms, hail 45mph winds, high heat, etc etc. I attached them with iron pipes attached to our fence posts and used tension metal wire and strung them through. Only recently (2 weeks ago) we had a hail storm (not the first) and three of the bulbs finally shattered. But guess what? The lights still work despite those 3 breaking. I just bought replacement bulbs. I highly recommend these. They are sturdy and lovely.

Purchased two sets of these for my patio after a friend recommended them. I love the old-fashioned look to them and the fact that each bulb has its own hanger. They create a nice warm glow and the strand is pretty long compared to most string light sets. They include extra bulbs (three of mine arrived broken though) as well as an extension cord. Good value for the price.

Just ordered a 3rd strand of these lights...they are very well made and hold up to the elements. I've had them hanging outside, uncovered, for over a year with no problems. I have them on a timer - they run for about 2 hours per day and I've only recently needed to replace 2 bulbs. I would recommend.

Was looking for a quality set of café lights for my patio - wasn't interested in the cheap (flimsy) ones generally offered at department or home goods stores. I had seen ones at restaurants and other commercial venues, so I knew the higher quality version was available. After doing my research I found the ones offered by Festive Patio Lights - they were just what I was looking for. They are heavy-duty and should hold up to the constant exposure to the outside elements. Since they are heavier, I felt it was better that a cable be strung first and then attach the lights to the cable (there is an attachment point at each bulb position) rather than stringing the lights directly to each connection point. By using the cable I was able to keep it tight without concern there would be excess pressure on the light string. .... A bonus is that each set comes with a separate extension cord (that is not part of the overall length) and some extra bulbs. Only "negative" is that when I initially turned on the lights after installation, several bulbs did not come on. I felt it highly improbable that so many bulbs could be non-operational. I checked each socket and slightly pulled up the metal tab inside where the bulb base makes contact - after re-inserting each bulb and turning on the power again all the lights came on (as it turned out, only one bulb was DOA on arrival). As you can see by the pix, the bulbs are very attractive and give off a pleasant, mellow glow for a nice backyard ambiance. .... For my project I ordered two sets - they directly connect to each other. Since these were just installed, I do not have the experience to report on how they hold long-term, but am hoping with the apparent quality of materials that they will be satisfactory over time. .... NOTE: I was not provided this product in exchange for a review - I researched these lights (and the Festive Patio product in particular) on my own and purchased them for the price listed.

Have these hanging on my deck for extra light and for the look they give. Very happy with them so far. I have attached them to a remote so I can turn them on and off from inside the house. The put off good light while outlining the deck. Neighbors have all complemented on the look. I don't have a lot of light in the back of my house since it overlooks a park. These give the extra light I needed. I do recommend these for whatever application that you may use these for. Seem really well put together.

Great lights. They add so much to our deck. We have had them almost a year now and they are like new. Would suggest installing them with the wire cable sold separately so they won't sag with wind and weather. Be patient when first putting the bulbs in. They're hard to pop in the sockets but they do fit and the bulbs are long lasting. None have burned out in almost a year. Love the vintage look of the lights.

Great product. I was impressed with the quality of the string, how well it was packaged, the included extension cord, and the additional bulbs packed in the box. I had no issues whatsoever with hanging the lights on my patio, and the entire string lit up the very first time I plugged it in. This is not a complaint, but a caution for buyers. Measure very carefully so you order the correct size. The string I ordered was longer than I actually needed (again, my bad) and that added to the time it took to hang the lights and loop / strap the excess wire so the lights were spaced equally apart from each other. Bottom line, I'm very pleased with the way everything turned out and I definitely recommend these lights if you're looking for a great way to enhance your outdoor space.
