Great book for young people curious to learn about modern art, or as an introduction to the art world.

Taschen has truly done a remarkable job with this edition, breaking its contents down into 14 chapters organized along art specializations, such as Impressionism, Surrealism, Cubism, etc. Representative artists are then presented often with full-page reproductions of their art, with narrative summaries of their works/ careers. A brief Glossary of artistic terms and expressions and a detailed Index are also provided. It is important to note this is a physically small book, but, as an introduction to the diversity of modern art, it's impact cannot be over-valued.
