Long flat Thermotech: Lifesaver; Neck/Shoulder Wrap Junk
I bought both the normal long length flat Thermotech & the Neck/Shoulder wrap version.I've used the Thermotech Automatic Digital Moist Heating Pad (straight standard flat version) for years and still think it's the BEST normal pad I've ever tried. I like:- bigger (slightly wider & definitely longer) than most heating pads,- cover has a convenient wrap around velcro strap to hold it in place- adjustable heat & time up to an hour with auto shutoff- gets WAY hotter than anything else for deep muscle tightness release- good for cramps, tightness, tension, myofascial pain reliefI am a medium build 5'7" female, yet still wish Thermotech made an even longer one to reach entire neck, back, & bottom of spine at once without having to move it. Nonetheless, better than competitors. The neck/shoulder wrap only version was nice while it lasted, but STOPPED WORKING after about 3 months! I was extremely disappointed due to high cost & how well the standard long length version has lasted.Don't waste your money on the neck/shoulder version! Definitely buy the long flat version as it's worth the cost & actually lasts.

Defective
My wife used it one night, and when she went to use it the next night, it would no longer operate. Seems like there are several duds in their manufactured products, because if you read in between all the great reviews, all the bad ones seem to be because it stopped working very soon after purchasing. It does get really hot, and we liked the fact that you could choose a time period and a heat setting. Also, since it claims its for the neck, too, it really should come up on the neck, but it doesn't. Good for trapezoids and pectoral muscles, and that's about it.

Just what my neck was aching for!
This heating pad is great. Unlike rectangular shape pads, this one snugs up against your lower neck and shoulders. The low setting is plenty hot. The moist heat really penetrates and loosens up very tight muscles. I have a TMJ problem that causes me to have a lot of neck pain. I have a cupboard full of moist heating packs (heat in the microwave). They don't stay hot nearly long enough. This heating pad will provide intense moist heat for up to one hour. My only complaints are that there is a one hour limit on the timer and it lacks some sort of collar that would provide heat to the upper neck and base of the skull. Overall though this is a great product.

Great pad, but it died!!!
Have used this pad for 5 mos. on occasion. Initially, it worked great. Quality of pad, degree of heat, and controller options with timer are excellent and best I've seen in this type product. But the item has since died and will no longer get hot, even though controller is lit. I will try to return for warranty and am willing to take another shot at it hoping that its a 'one time' defect/malfunction (because its really a nice product!). Was not purchased via this Amazon vendor.

STOPPED WORKING AFTER 3 MONTHS AND VERY LITTLE USE
I bought this heat pad on April 27th, really liked it when I first tried it but after ten uses it has stopped working! And now that I check if there is any contact information on the box I can't find any.The box states that has 1year limited warranty for digital and 3 year for analog....not clear what it means or who to call.I am very disappointed b/c it seemed good but almost USD 50 for ten uses is not what I expected. If I could get a replacement I would rate it 5 stars b/c it worked nicely (when it worked). Would appreciate it if the seller contacted me.

This is the best
I received my moist heating pad today and I am soooo impressed. I have a thermaphore moist heating pad that I use all the time with two major differences. It only has one temperature and it does not have a timer. As a matter of fact the on/off switch has to held down the whole time you are using it. That can be a pain when you need both hands for something. However since I bought that pad about 20 or more years ago I have been spoiled and would never go back to a regular heating pad. This type of moist heating pad cost more but they are great for muscles that need heat and moisture.I bought this new one because it is made to fit around the neck and those are the muscles I am always applying heat to. How wonderful to set it around my neck, set the control for temperature and time and then just enjoy the relaxing heat. I don't have to worry about it falling and the low temperature works really well plus it will turn itself off for whatever time I set it for. This pad is so worth the extra money and like my old one it will probably last for years and years.

Worksgreat while it lasts
This is a great heating pad for shoulders, BUT it should be sold as temporary. They always fail. ALWAYS I wish there was another company with shoulder heating pad

Absolutely amazing!
I got the neck and shoulder thermotech heating pad.I live in Colorado and it still produces plenty of moist heat, it's unlike any other heating pad I've seen. I thought $50 was pretty steep but this was bought to help me work for longer periods of time at a computer so it has paid for itself already. It is heavy enough to make good contact with you, I wear a shirt while I use it (I just use a higher heat to compensate). I use the 150 degree setting usually for 45 minutes then 130 degrees for 15 minutes as a slight cool down. One problem I have is the annoying alarm when the duration has completed. Another is that the back part of it simply isn't big enough. Also, the Velcro is kind of silly, they could have just made loops in the ends and have it come with a string or something. Lastly it doesn't really work for the majority of the neck so if you have high neck pain I suppose this isn't for you, it's mainly for shoulder/low neck strain from excessive computer work/play/typing.
