Convenient, fluoride toothpaste alternative
I travel for work a lot. About 1 of every 3 weeks, I will fly on an airplane, which limits the amount of toothpaste I can carry. Travel sized toothpastes are a pain. They are overpriced compared to their normal-sized counterparts, they add un-recyclable material to landfills, and they never have to good flavors in the travel sizes. I've been interested in toothpaste tabs for a while, but I am a very cavity-prone individual. I have too-acidic saliva, and I also love candy. Xylitol absolutely can help prevent cavities, but it just isn't enough for me, so I felt I needed something with fluoride, especially after discussing this with my dentist. While Europe and Asia seem to be blessed with multiple choices for toothpaste powders and tablets containing fluoride, it is strangely difficult to find this in the United States. These are present online, but companies won't ship to America or the shipping is upwards of $20, which is a bit more than I'm willing to spend to make my traveling chompers a little happier. These ship from Europe (mine came from Great Britain, but that's seller-dependent), so it takes some time. My package arrived having been sliced open, but I suspect that has to do entirely with package handling en route. This was frustrating, however, because several (maybe 15) tablets were crushed, and some had fallen out in my mailbox. I only mention this because the corn-starch based packaging for the product is REALLY tough! It was still torn, but significantly less than the mailer, and I found it challenging to tear except on the perforated line. It is also compostable, which is a nice perk for the environmentally-conscious. Also, with all the (apparently incredibly) rough handling, ONLY ~15 tablets were damaged out of 125. The packaging is in German, as pictured. If this is daunting to you, finding instructions online was simple. There are also pictures on the packaging that are pretty simple to understand. Basically, take one tab, chew it, start brushing. These don't foam like normal, store brands, but I honestly didn't miss the foam. I included a picture of the brushing process, so you can see the lack of foam. The flavor is a generic mint flavor. It's fine. They taste like toothpaste. Like most fluoride toothpastes, you shouldn't rinse with water after brushing, and I actually thought that was easier to do with these than pastes. It is hard to rank these on a 5-star scale, because almost nothing is available for comparison. Having said that, these currently fill a hole in the market, and they function as described.

Yay for flouride but too expensive
These are good but ultimate too expensive for me to continue using except for travel The good: 1) packaging: they come in a 2*2inch paper bag inside an a5 size envelope. How much more minimal can that get? This is equivalent to 2 normal tubes of toothpaste. 2) flouride: Americans who want to reduce waste don't seem to think flouride is important for teeth! Strange. I frequently get cavities despite good habits so flouride wasn't something I didn't want to compromise on. This is just about the only one available 3) flavor: nice minty flavor that is pleasant but not too overpowering. Cons: the texture is obviously different from paste, but honestly doesn't bother me. I find it nicer to use with electric vs manual toothbrush. Expensive: I'm still using these because I started Invisalign as well so these are convenient for my everyday travel brushing needs (you need to brush right after eating). Because I brush so much I use regular Colgate mostly, and the tabs when I'm out of the house. The tabs are 10 times more expensive than using regular toothpaste. (12¢ per brush versus 1.2¢ per brush). A side note: I've found the cleaner concentrate bottles from Grove perfect for storage, because it usually only dispenses one tablet at a time. Just make sure to clean the bottles really really well before using for toothpaste!

Easy to use and reduces waste
These toothpaste tablets have a good mint flavor and form a decent amount of foam when brushing with an electric toothbrush. These tablets have fluoride which is unusual for tablet toothpaste (another reason why I bought them). My teeth feel clean after brushing and not sticky like with some toothpastes. I am happy with the reduction in the amount of waste generated too, since the tablets come in a non-plastic bag. The one things I've had to be careful with when using my electric toothbrush is that I tend to fling foam out of my mouth and then end up with flecks of toothpaste foam on my shirt, which doesn't happen as often with regular toothpaste (although I sometimes do it with regular toothpaste too). Overall, the slightly higher cost and need to be more careful when brushing are outweighed by my commitment to less plastic in my life, so I give these tabs 5 stars.

If you can get past the taste/texture...
Denttabs are one of the only eco-friendly toothpaste tabs to have fluoride in them, so I wanted to try them out. They taste awful initially and it's like chewing on paper/cardboard. They also kind of turn into too much of a liquid instead of a paste. The packaging is not meant to be kept so you can buy a small little container; I kept the jar that the last toothpaste tabs I bought came in so I use that. Also, they take a while to get to the US since I believe they come from the UK. They clean really well, though!

yay for zero waste toothpaste!
First off, Amazon gave me an expected date of delivery that was two to three weeks out after I purchased this, and it arrived in my mailbox in LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. I was so pleasantly surprised! The product itself is exactly what I was looking for - as someone who's trying to reduce my waste and increase my use of natural products, this is perfect. I can't believe that this is one of the very few toothpaste tablet products WITH FLUORIDE that's available, and I am a little sad that it had to be shipped so far to get to me in the USA. But, it's filling a hole in the market and is a satisfactory product, so overall I'm happy. As for use, it takes some getting used to, which I'm sure is true with all toothpaste tablets. You chew it up until a sort-of paste forms, and then brush as normal. The paste does not foam at all, which is a little disappointing at first, but my mouth still feels clean and fresh when I'm finished brushing. The minty flavor is perfect, not too strong but still nice and fresh. I don't think there's really a whitening agent in this product, so I might start incorporating some homemade whitening into my weekly routine, but there IS fluoride in the toothpaste so I'm happy with just staying cavity-free and waste-free (at least in my toothpaste).

Not Perfect but Close
I love that these are plastic and palm oil free, but still contain fluoride. For folks who are expecting these to turn into toothpaste, I'm sorry but how could they? They're a tooth polish. They have a nice taste if you don't mind the flavor of baking soda. As a result of the baking soda they are almost certainly abrasive enough so you should stick with a soft bristle brush. I think they'd be easy to travel with with one exception. They look like pills and in some states pills need to travel in their original containers ( with prescription labels) so you'd have to travel with the empty bag or with them in a bag you've closed with a clip or something to keep cops from thinking you have a mystery drug :/

Good, but not my favorite toothpaste tablet
I've been working toward minimizing the amount of plastic I use, so I was glad to find out that toothpaste doesn't have to come in plastic tubes! There seem to be quite a few options without fluoride, but I prefer toothpaste with fluoride, which limited my options. Packaging: 125 tablets come in a paper-ish, non-resealable pouch. The package I received in February 2022 says that it is "100% industrially compostable" and that they will be making home-compostable packaging "soon." I put the tablets in a reusable container (along with the packaging, so I can refer back to it). Fluoride: This product contains sodium fluoride, but be careful, because the manufacturer also makes tablets without fluoride, and the packaging is almost identical. Tablets/brushing experience: The package notes as one of the benefits that these are foam-free, and they're not kidding! When you bite down on these, they become kinda like powdery clay....very dry. I recommend rinsing your mouth out before putting in a tablet. Retaining a bit of the rinse water in your mouth will make it feel less like you're brushing with powder and saliva. I do feel like these do a good job of cleaning my teeth, and I end up with a moderately minty taste in my mouth when I'm done. For me, that powdery mouth feel is really the only drawback, but it's enough to put it in second place among the tablets I've tried.

Great flavor, excellent value, + fluoride for strong teeth
I've tried a couple of brands of toothpaste tabs, and I like the flavor of these the best. The strong (but not overpowering) fresh peppermint leaves my mouth feeling cool and clean. They clean my teeth to a nice smooth polish too. I had to search hard for tablets that contain dentist-recommended fluoride for strengthening teeth; these have it. The packaging is a cute little paper sachet. In addition to all that, these are the best value of all the toothpaste tabs I've found - 125 tabs for just $10; you get twice as many in a package compared to many other brands. Brushing twice a day, one package lasts for over 2 months. My only (minor) wishes would be for a more foamy texture (these create a rather thin brushing liquid in your mouth, so you have to be a bit more careful not to drip!), and maybe for an "extra-whitening" version as well. Overall, I think they're great, and will keep buying them.
