My husband loves to assemble metal earth. This one is a bit of a challenge for him, but he loves that. It did come bent in the mail. But my husband said that he was still able to use it.

I love dragons and puzzles. This piqued both interests. These metal 3-D puzzles are not for beginners. I have lived a life of legos, puzzles, and models and this Drogon model was still challenging, but that is part of fun. The pieces are very small and I am somewhat of a perfectionist, which made extended the amount of time completing this model took for me. I like to hide all of the connection tabs, so that adds to the level of difficulty a lot. Altogether, it took my probably 4-5 hours to complete this over the course of several evenings. I gave 4 stars for a couple of reasons. The first is not entirely the fault of the model. My eyes are not great and the difference between the outside and inside of the piece for this model looked very similar, to the point that I actually put a few pieces on wrong side out. For some pieces this didn't make a difference (body pieces), but for one leg piece it did. Again, it was my fault for not verifying I had each piece the right way before bending, but the coloring and design of the metal didn't help. My other issue was a couple of pieces broke while I worked. I have another metal 3-D dragon model and I think the metal much have been slightly thicker on that one. If I were to build Drogon again, I would not break any pieces or get any pieces wrong side out, so feel free to learn from my mistakes. Neither of these issues would prevent me from buying another metal 3-D model from this manufacturer.

Really excited to work on this model...make sure you have precision tweezers and cutters..they work perfectly with this.

Great for anyone who enjoys Metal Earth. This is bigger than most. It is not for a beginner though.

I love these models. I've built probably 15 or so in the past three months, and some are waaay better than others. Some of them are downright incredible but sadly this one is not quite ready for prime time. I had high hopes since it's an Iconix version (supposedly higher quality and detail) and other Iconix models I've built were indeed that. But not this one. It's almost like it was designed by a different company. The directions (especially for the legs) were ridiculously vague and the frustration to get the pieces to fit was very high. Parts just didn't fit correctly, on one leg I had to break off a tab simply because there was no way it would line up. On one of the feet, following the directions explicitly, the part ended up backward so the tabs were reversed. The manual was clearly wrong on this one part. And the problem is you can't really undo any part you've already put together because the tabs are very fragile and don't take well to being bent more than once or most of the time they just break off. So I had to settle for one foot only being held on by one tab which is extremely flimsy. While I do really like Metal Earth, this one leaves a lot to be desired especially for the high price... about double what the other models are. The other Iconix dragon models (not this GOT one) are quite well done and very enjoyable to build. I'd go for those, and safe yourself some aggravation and money.

My mums always wanted a dragon so we built her this for christmas. Lovely quality!

War nicht mein erstes Modell, aber trotzdem nicht ganz leicht aufzubauen. Ergebnis sieht Klasse aus. Anleitung ist einfach zu folgen. War eine gute Beschäftigt für Abends im Lockdown!

Die Anleitung könnte etwas genauer sein weil die Teile sonst hinterher nicht richtig oder gar nicht zusammen passen. Aber mit viel Geduld und Übung kriegt man es zusammen und das Endergebnis ist Mega toll. Würde es wieder bauen

Brought as a present

Got this as a birthday present for a friend who like building models. Whilst it's certainly impressive looking, unfortunately the instructions were not clear enough which led him to bend a part the wrong way. On trying to correct this, it snapped, so now his dragon is missing a foot. Please be warned it seems you only get one chance to get these models right, the metal is very thin.
