Built like a tank, installs easily, works well with the door-mounting kit
Just installed the narrowest version of the Rev-A-Shelf Pull Out Basket this weekend and I am amazed at how sturdy and well-made this thing is! The pictures don't properly convey how well-built the basket and sliders are. That basket is built like a tank. Do be aware that the basket size is smaller than the overall dimensions. I measure the interior of the basket as: 17" x 7 1/4 ", and about 5" high. The sliders are spaced about 8 1/2" apart, so you need a cabinet opening at least that wide. I also used the the Rev-A-Shelf door-mounting kit (RV-DM17 Kit-5) to mount a quite heavy (solid wood) tall (32") door to the front of the basket. This kit is designed to work with any of the pull out baskets and it does install fairly easily to the basket, allowing you to convert your existing cabinet door to a pull-out door. The door-mounting kit is well designed to allow adjustments to the door position to insure a level, flush fit between the your door and your cabinets. Also, considering how tall and heavy my cabinet door is, I am pleasantly surprised to see that the whole set-up is quite stable. Finding a tall slim garbage bin to fit in this narrowest Rev-A-Shelf basket is a challenge. So far the best I have located is the Hefty Slim Profile plastic garbage can which I found in-store at Lowes. I believe it holds about 10 gallons. That can is 23.5" tall (with the lid down), 9.2" wide, and 18" deep at the top. However, the can tapers some, so at the base, it just fits into my narrow Rev-A-Shelf basket. It has a step-on foot pedal and flip-up lid. Lid dimensions are 9 7/8 " wide x 18.75" deep. Happy organizing!

LOVE THESE!
I am very impressed with the quality of these shelves! They look great, the slides operate smoothly and they were very easy to install (except where the space is limited like mine was; then it would have been great if I had known how to remove the drawer itself so I could more easily have reached the slides to screw them down). The second shelf I installed had more room and the installation was quick and easy. I'm using them in a pantry to hold canned goods and other items.. The "pantry" was a conversion from an old cupboard and for some reason the bottom of the cupboard had been covered. (see my photos for a before/after look). Because my kitchen is small and storage is limited, I pried off the false cabinet front to discover the extra space. I installed one shelf in half the space for canned goods. The other side was deeper and I used that without a shelf. In the cupboard right above, I installed a basket for miscellaneous items, and because the cabinet is very deep, I was able to store larger items behind. The bottom line: I love these chrome baskets; they are top quality and make access to my deep pantry much easier. I recommend them without reservation.

Great way to organize your cooking spices and oftenly-used items.
I bought this for our brand new kitchen and wow it's great! We bought a new house and decided to remodel the kitchen. One of the nice "upgrades" I've been wanting to have is these pull-out baskets. Our kitchen is a bit on the small side and we cooked quite a bit, so having quick and easy access to the spices is quite important. After taking the measurements of the cabinet and read all the reviews, I bought and installed it for our kitchen. The basket and the rails are built like a tank and they are heavy yet look very nice. The installation was straight forward. I have a cordless Bosch impact drill and it's not even a 10-minute job. It took me longer to place the basket to make sure we have enough clearance than to actually install it. The screws are quite short but they can keep the basket in place firmly. After lining the bottom with the liner, I put 10+ bottles of spices and it still rolls out very smoothly. The combined weight is easily be over 20lbs. The pull-out basket is not as deep as the cabinet's depth and I think it's more of a feature than a disadvantage. I'd end up putting too many bottles and make it heavier to pull out. Instead, the bottles that we have as extras or rarely use, we tuck them to the deep end of the shelf. It's still relatively easy to retrieve them since we only need to pull out the basket to clear the way. The only thing I have to say about the basket is that it's bulky so we lost some spaces on the left and right. If we don't have the basket we could probably fit more spices and bottles. Nonetheless, the convenience of having instant access to the bottles is totally worth it. Plus it's a good reason to reduce all the bottles that we have. It's been close to 2 months now with daily use and the Rev-A-Shelf basket has handled it very well. Every time I cook I look and appreciate how a simple "upgrade" can bring such peace of mind and joy to our busy lives. Key take away: yes, if your cabinet can fit the pull-out basket, buy it. It'll make your life a lot easier. And remember to get some shelf-liner to keep your cabinet clean.

Great update for existing cabinets - excellent quality
I bought two of these units - one for under the kitchen sink another for a bathroom. They're study, install easily and eliminate that black hole at the back of the cabinet. The quality is excellent, mine have been in place for about a year. As I also have pullout drawers that I ordered with some of my kitchen cabinets, I can honestly say there isn't a significant difference between the two in terms of how much drawer space you end up with. As these don't have a solid bottom I did place some items in trays, but in the end that just helped me stay better organized. I'm pleased enough with the Rev a Shelf that I'm buying a set to retrofit my mother's 25 year old kitchen cabinets.

Solid and sturdy shelf
Very easy to install. Quality, design and build is very good. Just wish it was about an inch wider or manufacture had more sizes to choose from as it renders some on my cabinet space useless (hence, why it's not 5 stars). Other than that, great shelf that fully pulls out in order to actually see what's in my narrow lower cabinet.

VERY easy to install and built sturdy
Iโve only had this installed for a couple weeks, but it was certainly easy to do so. Iโm using this as a pantry add in. Iโll add something around the roll cradle to prevent small things from sliding out, but having it installed well-functioning only took driving 4 screws into a wooden plank after setting it in place. No other assembly required!

Does not fit in a 12" W X 18" deep cabinet, but does fit into a 12" W X 24" deep cabinet
This is a very high quality pull-out basket. 5 stars. If you are installing it into a 12" W X 18" deep cabinet (8.5" W opening X 17.5" interior depth (including the front opening depth), note that IT WILL NOT FIT. The mounting arms are 1/4" too long and the basket adds another 1/4" to that. (It would be great if the manufacturer could reduce the mounting arm length by 3/4", because then the shelf assembly would fit an 18" deep cabinet - especially since I haven't been able to find anything else close to this size.) If you are mounting this into a 12" W X 24" deep cabinet, it will fit. If your front opening is 8.5" wide, note that you will need to fully extend the shelf away from the mounting base and then tilt the entire assembly (with the wire basket being outside of the cabinet) to get the mounting base into the cabinet, since the base is 9" wide.

I love the Rev-A-Shelf series - I have redone all my lower kitchen cabinets with the Rev-A-Shelf hardware. They're very high quality and sturdy. They're also easy to install, but I swapped out the enclosed Phillips screws for Robertson #8 X 3/4 inch as they are far easier to work with in small spaces. Average installation time was 10 minutes per shelf.
