Best Book Light I've Ever Owned!!
I've had this book light for several years and it still works just as good as when I first got it, despite being dropped several times, so it's very durable. I love the pink color and have gotten many compliments on it. I love the large clip to clip it onto books and that the clip is lined with a soft material so as not to damage the book's pages or leave indentations. When not in use, I clip it on my lampshade next to my bed so I don't clutter up my bedside table with it and it has never left any marks on the white shade. The flex neck is excellent and allows you to easily maneuver the light to virtually any angle that you need and because it has the wire inside the neck, it will stay put in any position unless you physically move it. Additionally, I was amazed at how bright the light really is! Even in pitch dark, it lights up my entire book, even large textbooks, without lighting up the whole room and disturbing my husband while he's trying to sleep next to me as I read in bed. The light has a large span and two settings, a high and a low. Both settings are bright, but I always use the highest setting. I have used it as a flashlight in power outages as well, so it's multifunctional. This is a bit pricey, but it's totally worth it because it is high quality and works way better than the cheap $10 book lights I've gotten at Walmart. You can't go wrong with this and I'd highly recommend it!

This Little Baby Sure Beats My Room Light
I love to read, but my bedroom is far away from the only window in my 420-square-foot apartment so I always needed to use the wall-mounted light to read by day or night. After being here for over five years I felt it was about time to invest in a book-light. I have had them in the past but forget why they didn't seem to work out. I looked this one over and decided it looked like it was small, lightweight, easy to use, and in my favorite color (purple) at a really decent price. When it arrived I clipped it to the book I was reading, The Executioner's Song (also ordered from Amazon) and tried it out. It was PERFECT! The only time I may have problems is when I am down to the last few pages since I did clip it onto quite a few pages which I will not be able to do once I am down to only that many pages to read. Still, it is certainly nice that when I am through reading for the night I can just turn off the book-light rather than having to get off my bed, walk around to where the wall switch is to turn off the room light, and then return to my bed. The light comes with the option to use two lights, or just one, and so far I have used both lights so I have to push the button twice to turn it off, but that is no problem. I also have a good supply of AAA's already so when I need to replace the batteries I can do so right away. I can easily adjust the flexible neck to aim the light where I need it, or raise it up high enough to fully illuminate both pages at once. If there is a con to this product, I have not yet found it.

This little light of mine...
I don't use this on books (though I would), I use it on a Kindle 4 6" e-ink reader (the cheap one from 2012). PROS Comes with batteries! AAA are easily replaceable. ;-) Very bright - Neck makes it easy to adjust so that there is no glare on the screen. I use the lower (single bulb) setting. Tight, focused beam - Even though the light is very bright, it's easy to adjust the angle so that it doesn't disturb someone else. Obviously when I shine it out into a room it's like having a flashlight, but when it is hooked to a book or kindle and pointed at the screen the area of effect is reasonably smaller (about a foot). Light weight - when I saw that it took 3 AAAs I thought it might be a bit heavy. It isn't, I hardly notice the additional weight on my Kindle and weight is important to me because I have arthritis in my hands. Clamp is padded - It doesn't damage or dent my Kindle's skin. It has sensitive skin :-P CONS CLAMP IS BIG for a Kindle. The base is pretty bulky because it takes 3 AAAs. This is great if you want it to double as a standing light, but if you are hooking it to a Kindle e-reader then you will need to get creative because it is easy to block the screen because it's a bit wider than the Kindle edges. I find that centering it on the edge of the top holds it on the most solidly or along the top, but on the side. However, if you are like me and like to lay on your side and tilt the Kindle when you're in bed then the book light can slip off. If you are sitting straight up and not moving the Kindle much it's fine if you center the clamp. But I lay on my side and hold it at an angle so it tends to tilt and eventually I have to keep readjusting it as it slips. I did find a solution, since the clamp is big, and my headboard is less than 1inch thick, I was able to just attach it to my headboard and when I lay on my side I just adjust the light to a good angle and now it works perfectly for me. Clamp size is my only complaint, if it were a bit smaller I'd give it another star. --------------- Overall it was a good purchase. I use it approximately 5 hours per week for the last two weeks and I haven't had any issues with battery life. It claims that it's good for about 20 hours and so far I'm inclined to believe it and this is using the default batteries they gave me.

Best little light of mine!
There are several reasons why I love this light. 1. It's flexible! I can secure the base at any angle and still have a secure light source. It never droops and it holds its shape without fussing with constant adjustments. I adjust it and leave it. 2. If you are working on a flat surface, the base is weighted properly where it can hold itself steady. Although, I still prefer to clip it because I tend to get in the way and I'll just knock it over. 3. The clip has two felt like bumpers on both sides so when you clip something, it isn't going to leave a terrible mark or damage the item it's clipped to. Right now I have it clipped on my laptop so I can shine it on my books when I write my papers for school. I have no concerns that it will hurt my laptop screen. 4. The light is very bright. I usually just use the one bulb because they are so bright. I use two if I have more space to cover (clipped high up on laptop). I also love that it's not bulky like a desklamp! 5. Because it is so flexible and bright, I have also used it as a super convenient flashlight when looking for things behind dressers, under the couch, or behind the washer & dryer. 6. It's also small and perfect for travel. It also appears sturdy so I don't worry about it breaking. It's already been with me on vacation and back!

Love My Mighty Bright Light
I knew going in that this light wasn't made for the Prodigy cover that I purchased at the same time. Still this is a really cool light with two way switch; a very bright and then slightly dimmer light; a long and flexible cord from the clip to the light that you can position any way you need to to get the light just right. In a perfect world, this light would fit my Prodigy cover better, but I can still leave the light clipped to my Kindle and cover; closing the cover if I need to walk away for a break. You wouldn't be able to store this light inside the cover though. It takes 3 AAA batteries and I've used the light often and it's still burning bright and haven't had any problems with it so far! I purchased it because it was one of the least expensive book lights and for the cool color which closely matches my Prodigy Kindle cover. I'd say it's worth the price I paid for it and more!

A Little Too Flexible but Works Fine
I was in the market for a book light that would work well at night and would travel well. The light on this works great and there are two settings, both of which are pretty bright. The "neck" of the light is very bendable and sometimes starts folding itself when you don't want it to. Also, it doesn't travel well as there isn't a good way to keep the light from turning itself on if it rubs against something in your bag. With that being said, the light itself does serve its purpose so I still give it 3 stars.

A great clip-on light!
I do a lot of writing late at night, and I don't want to have the regular lights on. I had a little clip-on light on my laptop computer screen that I had purchased at the local grocery store stationery section. It was better than nothing, but the light was very low, and the light did not extend across my keyboard leaving me to squint and guess when looking for keys on the sides. The Mighty Bright arrived today, and I was excited to try it. Wow! My keyboard now has good light all across it, and the light even extends down over my touch pad. I like the fact that it uses AAA batteries, as they are easy to find practically anywhere, unlike the little round batteries. I will be looking to see how long the light will work. The push button on/off switch allows you to use either one or both of the lights. I'm happy to find that even with only one light on, I can still see the whole keyboard very clearly, and gives more than sufficient light which should extend the battery life. The goose-neck is longer than other lights, and flexes into any position one could want. I love this light!

Durability Questionable
Update: All are now dead. I took a chance on "Mighty Bright 47017 Recharge Book Light" mostly because it's head and neck are a continuous flexible silicon piece. The good: No spinning head problem - easily adjustable - seems to have long battery life - much better made than my last mighty bright 40513 The not so good: Neck is a bit short - another inch or so would have been much better. The clip is small - It's been fine for paper backs and medium hard covers not sure it would work for text books or a kindle. About twice the price - (but if it last will actually save cash) ===================================== The Good I really liked this light - the goose neck allows you to move it about with ease and it stays where you put it...doesn't sag like my old "hinged" reading light did Light is BRIGHT yet doesn't seem to spill further than my book Clamp works on both paper backs and hard covers The BAD: the first one (2012) I bought ended up with a HEAD (the part where the bulbs are) that was so loose it spun about....that was after about a year...eventually I got sick of that and ordered another, just this past Sept (2015)....the plastic was much cheaper looking and the color less to my liking (got purple both times) but the WORST part was the on/off button stopped working after about 3 months : AND the battery compartment cover Always popped off : ( I am debating if the third time will be the charm - or if I need to look elsewhere Update - taped the head on the 2012 purchase - looks funky but works - don't think I'll take a chance and another one of these

The best book light on the market
I originally bought this book light for use when reading in bed and it fulfils all of my needs perfectly! It is an extremely powerful light, but isn't glaringly bright, so I am always able to read comfortably. As this light also has two brightness settings, it can be used in a wide range of different circumstances. This lamp is extremely good quality and I have been using mine for nearly 5 years now without any kind of malfunction. Its special clip is ideal for attaching this light to my bed's headboard and its 'goose neck' allows me to easily position it. As this light takes AAA batteries, it's also a lot simpler and cheaper to maintain than a lot of other lamps. This product has made my life so much simpler and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good book light.

sehr gute Leuchtkraft !
