Weller 5.5mm Solder Tip Replacement for D550/D650 Guns, 2 Pack | 7250W

Had no idea these go bad. I threw away one of my Weller soldering guns because i thought it was defective. After purchasing another one, the same thing happened, little or no heat. Fortunately this time I did some research. Works like a new one!

I was worried these might be low quality given that they were the "less expensive" version. However, they were correct, they fit my 250W Big Old Bertha Weller soldering gun perfectly. It has always been almost impossible to get the ends bent correctly so the tip comes out straight- I recommend putting a sharpie mark on each leg about 3/8" or so from the end so you have a reference. (without it, once one side is bent it's hard to judge where to bend the second to get a good match.) AND of course, put the boots on =before= you bend them ;^) If you try to straighten them back out they will break off, now you have a shorty tip. Most interesting thing was watching the entire thin silver colored plating instantly flash into a gray colored bubbled mess when I pulled the trigger the first time. But, I did not expect it to stay pretty, and it sure works great. Glad I got them.

My original Weller came with one replacement tip. Each tip lasted about 5 years but eventually had been filed smooth to a point where they had to be replaced. These new ones are slightly larger probably making them last a little longer. I put one in a Radio Shack gun which took a little bending. The Radio Shack gun takes longer to heat up just like it always did. If you have a soldering gun that is not a Weller that does not offer replacement tips, these tips are not going to make your lower quality gun work as well as the Weller.

Don't fit my Weller, these are square and my gun takes round. Ground them down to fit.

After years of use, the tip of my old Blue Point soldering gun split apart. I saw this 2-pack of Weller solder gun replacement tips here on Amazon and I took a chance that it would fit my gun. These replacement tips have ends that are about 7/8" apart, and they happened to fit perfectly into my gun without modifications. (Other reviewers had to slightly bend their replacement tips in order to fit into their gun, your experience may vary.) The tips work well with my gun and I am very satisfied.

They were exactly what I needed. As far as tips. Unfortunately, my soldering gun didn't ha unfortunately, my soddering gun Was ready for the graveyard? But that's on me.

These are exact fits for the mid and upper wattage solder guns, they last a long time.

Pointes un peu trop grosses pour mon fer, j'ai dû modifier un peu mon fer à souder mais ça fonctionne très bien. Le chauffage est rapide.
