Great for freshmen to get ahead and develop an early understanding of biology.

This book would be better for bare basic micro. I’m in a paramedical microbiology course and honestly it did nothing to help. It didn’t break down bacterial shapes enough or viruses enough either. So if you’re in a lower division course this is perfect, other wise search for EZ microbiology in amazon books. The book is in really good shape and it got here super fast so I’m rating my stars on that otherwise it would be 2 stars at most otherwise

I enjoyed the Kindle version of this book. Oftentimes, Kindle versions of textbooks are difficult because of the graphs and formatting. Most of the Dummies Books I've read, however, are easy to read as an eBook.

I thought i could use this for my microbiology class (like i did the A&P for dummies). It didn't help at all. My friend also tried to use it some time ago and she said it didn't help her either. Seems like a good book. It just didn't work for the three ppl I knew 🤷

Orderd for my daughters taking micro at college. She called me to say it was a great gift and has helped her this semester.

I love the 'dummies' books, while T uni I have bought them for as many topics as I can that I study. I feel they have helped me to understand the basics before I delve into further reasearch! Very easy to understand and digest the information and easy understandable to someone with no science background! I bought the e book for my kindle and love it as it allows me to make notes of things on the different pages and also highlight any text I need to!

I should have read the reviews better but this book dodnt help me at all. It was very elementary and I need something a bit more. It's a good pick if you've never been exposed to any microbiology and basic concepts are difficult for you
