Fantastic Light!
Best light I have. Love the square light, super bright, clear as a bell. I own the preview version as well. it too is a great light, but the non-standard batteries make it a little more difficult to find. This one uses AA so you can pick up batteries anywhere if necessary. GREAT light. Everyone who sees mine wants one!

Brighter with AA batteries but it's a dissappoointment over the older 165-Lumen model
Just a foreword, square flashlights are not for everyone. It creates a projection beam which keeps light consistent throughout the frame. I currently own both the 165-lumen Bone Collector HD torch and now this 330-lumen Rubicon T300L (the one pictured).Pros (330-Lumen Version):It's brighter than the 165-Lumen model but the difference is not very significant. It uses standard 4xAA batteriesWell-builtHas bright, low, and red modesCons (330-Lumen Version):The HD square is not a consistently lit box like the 165-Lumen version. I can see faint criss-crossing lines inside the square frame of light. There's also a clover-like halo around the square. It doesn't eliminate stray light as well as the 165-Lumen version. The light can be triggered with slight pressure against the rubber button. If you carry this in a backpack, the batteries could drain if you're not careful.I don't like how the battery cap is designed. You have to hold the cap steady to make sure the screw threads align. The battery cap on the 165-lumen is easier to access.Comparison (330-Lumen vs 165-Lumen):The color temperature of the Rubicon is a bit cooler (blue). The 165-Lumen version uses CR123A batteries. They run expensive and the rechargeable versions don't last long. The size of the square is roughly the same between both models when held side by side. If you hold it 42 inches away, it will project a 12x12 inch box. There is no way to adjust the projection box size by twisting the lens. You have to stand far back to project a big box.tl;drThe Rubicon solved one problem that the Bone Collector 165-lumen had which were the 2x CR123A batteries. The overall quality of light, however goes to the 165-lumen Bone Collector Bushnell. The Rubicon has a defective on/off button because a slight press can trigger the light.

Not for close search on the ground in front of you the square beam is too small. Up against a wall it works fine. Needs a larger area beam for ground area in front of you.

Looks great, nice red light design
Looks great, nice red light design, buttons are hard to find in the dark they blend to much with the light. It's suppose to be more powerful than it's predecessor but comparing both, it's hard to tell. Still has a great square light which makes it unique and great to use. I wish they kep the strobe function but can live with out it.

This light is exactly what it advertises it is, a square beam light. I got it as a novelty light for me. On high power it IS bright and shines farther than I expected it to, it will take some getting use to it but I have other lights as well. The edges of the beam are sharp, they don't 'bleed' out, sharp and well defined. If you were using it as a search light and didn't 'sweep' back and forth with it, you could miss what you were looking for in the dark if it was just 6 inches or less outside the 'beam'. But on high the beam IS bright, did I say on high it is bright? It is. Even though I doubt I'll use it very much, it is well constructed and is as advertised. The red ring, well if you are a star gazer and need low light so it won't mess up 'night sight' that is where that might be handy.
