tamiya models are always very good models. i got started with tamiya 45 years ago. at that time,it was not so bad, it did beat some other models out there. At this time there is some other serious model companies that will keep tamiya on its toes. go tamiya!

I purchased this weapon set for use with 25-28mm figures used in tabletop gaming. I use a mix of modified HeroClix/HorrorClix and traditional figure brand such as Reaper. One of the challenges to custom modelling and/or figure conversion is scale. The 1/35 scale should indicate 1" of model is approximately 1 yard (or meter, or 3 feet, as you prefer) in real world size. However, each modelling company uses a slightly different interpretation of this. A company called Black Dog makes the absolutely best looking accessories and equipment, but though they are labeled and marketed as 1/35 they are actually something much more like 1/32. This makes them unusable in the 25mm-28mm range, they are simply too big. Tamiya, however, runs quite a bit smaller. The gas masks in this set, for example, fit perfectly over the face of the average "clix" figure, and the guns and other equipment look really good. Included are some really nice looking scuplts of .45 Colts, bayonets, ammo belts & boxes, machine guns, mortars...all in perfect scale for my uses. There are 2 of most items. The plastic is quite brittle. If you plan to use these in a lot of games, you will need to be careful when moving figures using the more fragile weapons, especially if you are transporting them somewhere. Overall, 4.5/5. A slightly more flexible plastic, like most Pegasus models are molded in, would be a real asset. I was also a little disappointed that there was such a limited number of my favorite pieces. I would have loved to have more than 2 gas masks, but luckily these sets are quite reasonably priced.

The parts are molded well and the pieces come in handy for many model kits. How can you go wrong with Tamiya.

１９８１年の製品ですから、４０年以上前の製品 になりますが、まずまず繊細なモールドです。 拳銃のパーツはなかなか無いので、これはポイント 高いかも。 ただ古い金型に起因する若干のバリやパーティングライン がしっかり有りますので、部品を折らない様に 慎重な切出し成型作業が要求されます。
