Does this come with a case?

When I received mine, it did indeed come with a case.

Does the back have one foot increments marked off in red and white?

Mine is marked to use as a measuring device to get a vertical dimension over head. It is marked starting at 4.0 ft at the very top, and increasing down to 12 ft or something where the last inner section telescopes into the bottom section. For instance if you wanted to measure the height from the floor to the ceiling, you stand the base section on the floor and extend the rod up to touch the ceiling surface and you read the total height directly at the top of the bottom section, which is 4 ft high. It is marked in 1 ft, 1/10 ft qnd 1/100 ft increments with fine black lines. You would not use it with a level since it would be very hard to read in a scope.

I believe I ordered a Fiberglass grade rod and thats what I wanted but my confirm order reflects aluminum how do I find out before shippment
