Good ERP starter book
Quiet a few of the chapters are generic ones, which are not much related to ERP.

Your Guide to All Things ERP
Today’s business student and professional must understand the fast-paced, tech-savvy, globally-immersed competitive world in which she works. She must know how to use technology, but more importantly, she must understand business. The functional silos of the pre-1990s have all collapsed, and what has risen in their place are customer-centric, data-driven, cross-functional, enterprise-wide business processes. Thus, to compete in current global markets, organizational stakeholders must embrace effective business processes, fueled by the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software and industry best practices. To that end, Modern ERP provides a complete but well-balanced approach to the increasingly-complex and highly-relevant topic of ERP. The book is essentially a “big picture” of ERP and provides a one-stop read for those interested in learning about business processes and the software and integrated data that makes them effective. From the history of past ERP failures and successes to the reasons why businesses deploy ERP software, this book covers relevant terminology, the ERP life cycle, ERP module essentials (including CRM and SCM), Business Process Redesign (BPR), and mapping. It addresses timing and tips for ERP software package selection and itemizes specific tasks for successful deployment, with or without the use of consultants. Interestingly, it does so without an ERP vendor-centric focus.Additionally, part of the book is devoted to the highly-significant topic of IT controls and auditing controls. Other areas address the recent intersection and impact of cloud computing, real-time access and mobility, and business analytics to ERP software. Not discounting its broad coverage, perhaps one of the greatest strengths of Modern ERP is its style and ease of use. Though designed for a somewhat diverse audience, the book provides a rich and comprehensive guide to all things ERP for the novice learner. It is surprisingly thorough for its approximate 250 pages and is a quick, easy, and worthy read for business students and professionals alike!

Perfect to prepare lessons / trainings
I am a ERP consultant since 20 years and since this year I give classes on ERP and Information systems in a French Business School.I was looking for a book introducing what is an ERP, what is a selection process and how to make a successful implementation of an ERP. Searching on internet I found the book of Marianne Bradford. It has been for me a fantastic help to build my different lessons. If you are in my situation I definitively recommend this book. From next year I will make the reading of this book a high recommendation to my students.
